I'd say Hall's main problem is that he's blowing out of his @rse after about 5 minutes on the pitch. Admittedly, that's about 4 minutes longer than I'd last, but he's a professional player.

Isn't that why we brought in Geoff Evans?

he is a big lad......weight wise....but yep his fitness is a majour problem that needs to be adressed over pre season

The other players don't seem to have a problem. You could have the best physio and conditioners in the world and they still wouldn't manage to get me to last more than 5 minutes without crawling off the field.

If the entire team were looking shattered from the start, fair enough, you look a the conditioner. But it's just Hall.

i think that you are foregetting that we have a very small squad and havent rotated the players as other teams have....playing each weekend for 20 weeks does eventually take it out of you

I've said all season and longer that we should have utilised the squad more. Crossley could have been used much earlier and although I know some will say they are not ready the Burgii could have at least had a run out in the early Challenge Cup rounds to see how they would go.

I'm one who will admit they are not ready for regular SL action.

But I do believe the odd game against Leigh or Dewsbury wouldn't have hurt.

I wonder how many people who are claiming George & Tom should be given a run out have actually seen them play. And how many are just saying they should be in because their surnames are "Burgess".

Not saying they're not quality players, as I have seen them play a few times. However I suspect a lot who think they should be given a chance now, are basing it purely on the fact they're Sam's brothers.

Oh, absolutely. And if they were put in the first team prematurely, and we got thraped, it would be the same people who would knowingly be slating the coaching staff for the 'ridiculous decision to bring them in', and claiming to have told you all along.

I think G Burgess is ready.

Bear in mind he's still very young. Just because Sam managed to step up at 18 years old, doesn't mean George will too. I agree that George looks to be slightly ahead of Tom as far as performances in the U20s go, but what we don't want to do is throw either of them in too early and completely shatter their confidence.

I personally would probably give George a run out or two this year just to see how he gets on, with next year being the time when I'd be looking to start bringing them through properly and giving more game time. What I wouldn't do is throw both of them for every remaining game, like some people seem to be suggesting.

Ive never meant to throw them in for remainder of the season, I mean give him a try and see what he can do. He's big and strong, he's fast and athletic, skillful, supports the ball and tough, cant be anyworse than some of our other props.

I kind of agree, but I'd rather we try him when there's no pressure on. Put him in at the moment when fans are already abusing the team and it may do him more harm than good.

If the team do fail to qualify for the playoffs this year, I would hope it fails with a couple of games to go, meaning two games that don't really mean anything. They would be the perfect game to try out young George.

Obviously I'd rather qualify for the playoffs and that not happen, but if we're going to miss out, I'd rather it be done early rather than the last game of the season again.
