Spot on IMO. A big money backer is someone like Davy or Caddick or Moran at Warrington.

Caddick is the Sugar Daddy behind Leeds, but Kath has all the money, from her parents, not Gawwy. How do you think Hull have financed all their signings so far for next season? Gawwy Hetherington takes more from Leeds than he gives, although in his two free holidays to Aus he does try and bring a couple of convicts over. Kath has a lot invested in Hull and I have it on good authority that one of them may be -or abou to be- involved with Hudds.

AFAIK, all players signed (Fitzgibbon, Mark O'Meley, Sean Long, Jordan Tansey) were either OOC, had a release clause to play in SL or weren't needed by the club and were released.

I don't believe, unless you can show me otherwise, that they paid any money for those players.

Moran, Caddick, Davy, Wilkinson, Whelan and now Lenaghan, the very astute McManus, O'Connor now at Widnes, I think to an extent someone at HKR IIRC...the likes of these are your Sugar Daddies or at least Daddilets.
