But not many have died who have been so worldwide famous and publicised as Michael Jackson. One of the most famous people to walk the planet, it would be the same if Madonna died, but I doubt there would be any sick jokes going around .

Jimi got praised when he died...still not a patch on Jackson for talent. Good guitarist but average songwriter.

The reason MJ sold so many albums was because he is bloody good. As far as pop music goes he was the best.

I've no real gripe against Jacko he was the prince of POP, but to say Hendrix isn't a patch on Jacko in terms of talent is........well, I think your'e hurting real bad inside dude.

Why? Hendrix was a genius guitarist but a crap singer and average songwriter.

Personally I feel Jackson had a few more strings to his bow.

That's what makes music great, it's soooo subjective.

Anyway I didn't know Jacko played the fiddle .
