| Well the clock is certainly ticking in regards to consultation with the fans if the deadline is Aug 15th. Are we going to be given some information regarding the different options so an informed decision can be made? I noticed Chalmers mentioned Bradford City rather than BPA in his latest column.. is our close partnership now finished? In short, the fans need to know where we are if they are to be able to help make a decision of such importance.
In reality I expect the club and Chalmers will do what they want regardless of the fan consultation because I expect the fan base will be very split on say a move to VP. You could probably run a poll on here and I doubt there would be an overwhelming majority on any option except keeping the club in Bradford. Not being from Bradford or living in Bradford it is less of a concern for me but I can see why it might be for proud Bradfordians.

| The fact is Odsal is too expensive to redevelop as just a stadium that gets used less than 20 times a year.
The sensible idea would be to build a new stadium over the road on the Richard Dunn site. There's no need for additional landfill to give the base for it, and the land the current stadium stands on can be sold for development to at least part fund the new stadium.

I'm sorry but I have to smile at the question; "Are we going to be given some information regarding the different options so an informed decision can be made?". The idea that WE (fans, well-wishers and other assorted rabble..)will have any input into this decision in this, other than some kind of sop 'marketing exercise' is barmy, imo. The decision will undoubtedly be taken at board level, whatever our views. A big uprising by us would probably cause the chairman to cash in his chips.

^ this, 100%
It's window dressing, no more than that, to say that the fans will be consulted.
And besides what would be the point? You only have to look at this and other forums, and other social media, to see how hopelessly divided the fanbase is. You'd have the rabid people on Bulls Banter screaming about how they'll never watch another game if we move from Odsal, and people totally divided about any of the available options. It would shed a lot more heat than light, that's for sure.

Well if you'd read the rest of my post you would see I also see i think Chalmers is probably paying lip service to the fans. It's pretty pointless to even ask the fans without some basic information on the options.

| I remember Caisley telling a few of us that the Bulls Name was a franchise one and not tied to Odsal and they could move elsewhere if needed and now it looks like Chalmers is about to exercise that option, but leaving Odsal without a local solution will condemn the Club to oblivion while staying at the ground will have the same effect unless there is some heavy external investment waiting on the side to accomodate either a redevelopment of the stadium for the Club or redevelop the site and put the Club in a new stadium elsewhere!
The light at the end of the tunnel looks to be the train of misfortune coming towards us. I just hope it's on the other track!!

| Just watching the Salford vs Stevenage football game this afternoon. Salford don't have a massive stadium, but it's fine for where they are and something that size would be more than adequate for what the Bulls need and only cost £4 million to build.
We don't need a "Superdome" or some massive 70k all seater stadium. We only need something that's 5/6k capacity but with the option to increase if needed.

Agreed. But does Horsfall have the scope for temporary stands to get us that capacity? If so then we could be in business.

| DISCLAIMER this post contains no facts just the musings of a cynic
The CCJ’s first and now Chalmers saying that Odsal is too expensive to run has got me thinking that history is about to repeat itself only this time Bradford may end up no longer having a professional rugby league club

May i suggest IF we want to get back into SL then a 5/6K stadium won't be big enough at some game this year we have had 4K ok for the moment not in the future!!

| To me, it’s fairly obvious.
Staying at Odsal short/medium term looks unsustainable.
Moving out of BD district without an iron clad legal plan to return, is unsuitable long term.
I think us fans will accept a year or two away from Odsal as long as we can see building work for us going on somewhere in BD district

| To be fair, I haven’t been today but buy I’ll have a bet that Chalmers addressing the supporters was via the newspaper that’s given out, Mick said he would address the fans on Sunday and that is what happened. I listened to his podcast and he didn’t say he was addressing in person he said he would addrress the fans. And I bet he did via the paper

Correct, thanks for listening to the Full Eighty Minutes.
Unlike Bull Mania and Raging Bull who are extremely bitter, jealous and agenda driven with their constant negativity, you actually listened to what I said in response to Craig Harrison.
Right, must dash, got a good passionate interview from Brian Noble to edit.

A modern stadium could easily have provision built in to allow expansion of its capacity.
Something like Salford City's ground would be perfect for us.

Funny how you've said that now and not when everyone was talking about it earlier this week.
What you actually said "Andrew Chalmers will communicate to the fans on Sunday at the Toronto game"
Its the same old game. Unrest among some of the fans with off field rumours. Most fans would interpret what you said as him making someone sort of announcement AT THE GAME. Not through his column that is always released on Friday night /Saturday morning. You do it all the time. Imply something to get the fans all talking and then when it doesn't happen you say no I didn't mean that.
Call me bitter all you want, i'll continue to call you out over the BS. There's unrest among the fan base and you play on it for personal gain.

| It was obvious Chalmers would communicate via the newspaper. That’s how he operates, you can’t blame Mick for that. As soon as it said he would communicate with fans anyone else reading anything into that was going to be wrong

At the risk of upsetting your good self, I can only say one word in response to your post, that is....."tripe".....
On such an important matter as the future of the "spiritual home", perhaps it might have been an impassioned speech to the Bulls faithful which Mr. Chalmers planned on giving at half time ?
Mr Gledhill's words were, to be charitable to him, sensationalism, for whatever reason.

| Ok, Mick said Chalmers would address the supporters on Sunday, he did, via a newspaper column. Not once did Mick say it would be an on field address. Not sure how Mick or myself have got this wrong? Everyone jumped to their own conclusions he would somehow break from his norm and get out on the field with a PA system that doesn’t work. Silly me
