| Any info been released regarding season tickets purchased in January and February?
When we can collect them?
How we pick which zone we wish to stand in?

| Was going to mention the rates but someone's beat me to it. Based on the size of the site I bet they are obscene.
I suspect that the current 18 month deal includes a deal on the rates from the local authority. Especially as they get a mention in the club's statement. You'd hope so anyway but I guess we've been down that road before.
I doubt the club planned to move back this early but the stadium capacity at Tetley's Stadium being only 700 due to Covid restrictions probably forced their hand.

I’m still sceptical about the ownership and even about the move back.
But the team have done enough in the last 5 games to convince me that they’re a team worth watching. I guess the only way Odsal will be sustainable is if we turn back up!
Would much rather get wet through on the Odsal terraces than make the trek to Dewsbury.'"
i had the luxury of being in the old wooden stand on the pop side, but since then ive been p##ed on, snowed on, fogged on (who can forget the rolling fog that came down rooley and swamped the pitch against wigan), hailed on, sunburnt, froze my nads off .... i cant be there obviously but i wouldn't have it any other way. Gimme odsal every day

I think Odsal weather reminiscences is a good idea for a thread.....

| I'd guess that the 'eye watering' rates figure was probably to compensate for the 'peppercorn' rent we used to (and presumably the RFL still do) pay to the council?

IIRC the figure mentioned at time we left for rates was 100k a year. Surely that will be split with Stock cars now. Devils in the detail of the new deal. until some detail comes out its impossible to say whether we're better of or not.

Not sure where you get the 100k figure from. The total cost of operating a season at Odsal was 400k all in this includes all costs.

Where did you get that figure from? If correct I hope we're getting a good contribution from Startrax.

Where Elon Musk bids £1 billion to the club and another £1 billion to the grass roots game. The RFL then choose the bid from the committee man at Bankfoot Cricket club as he just won £25 on the premium bonds.

I think the appropriate phrase is 'bending over backwards' Aaron, although it's exactly what they need.

Some clubs not happy with us being the RFL's pets.'"
Remember the days we had journos like Dave Hadfield, Andy Wilson, Chris Irvine.
Now we get journalists who seem very angry at certain clubs, yet seem to never say a bad word about others who they happen to be close to and get the latest transfer deals. Wonder if he got as angry about the RFL bending over backwards when we had to play on a school field with portoloos at Sheffield. Or if he will call Belle Vue a cesspit like the journalist called Odsal yesterday. Sad.
Absolute story of the week there's 1metre less grass. Gets a lot of likes and people frothing at the mouth on twitter though so I guess job done.

I didn't say it cost 100k a year to operate at odsal. The 100k figure was just for the business rates. There will have been rent, upkeep and utiliities on top of that to take it up to the 400k figure.

Bower's shared the story on there and the comments are class. Basically Karen's telling us it's a disk race - copy and paste from the last article about the Bulls.
Anyway when you read this Aaron - as we know you still come on here for material - I don't believe you got that quote from a real person that exists.

Thats a re-hash of the article he put out before return to odsal was announced where he said we couldn't return due to the pitch size Club then left Aaron with egg on his face by announcing return the next day. For some reason that particular journalist always seem to be the one who breaks any negative story relating to Bradford.

I've got an image in my head of him standing in front of his bedroom mirror in full Bradford city kit (including shin pads) doing an interview with himself taking down that quote on his dictaphone. Then thanking himself for the interview.
It’s not even the sort of thing an adult would come out with on the record - even anonymously- especially a fellow club’s chairman. I mean there have been some really strong comments about the sale of the lease etc from prominent people in the game but even then nothing like this.

| Hi Aaron
I haven’t accused you of having a vendetta against the club but I don’t think that quote is real, I think it’s a none story (the next two opponents have agreed to narrow pitch as tweeted by Gledhill on Monday) and there’s already been a precedent set with RFL allowing other clubs special dispensation.
Your motives for making something out of nothing are your problem.
Apologies for replying on here I don’t have a Twitter account.

It'll have to be a technical/innovative grass solution, like the Northern Ireland border. Possibly involving CGI? Or we harness the fog power of Odsal which then allows us deniability over the amount of grass we have. Or we get 1/4 of grass on wheels and just run it around the pitch, depending on where the play is? Other than that, I've nothing....

Some interesting snippets in that article - especially about the end of the Chalmers regime and where he pitched up next.
It's behind a paywall.
