Really looking forward to this game, I have nothing against Leeds Rhinos whatsoever, but do the championship proud (unlike us last season against them at Fev in the CC) and get them beat, or run them very close at least.

I'd echo that, but just be careful as some of the estates around there have Residents Only permit parking. As long as you make sure you read the signs to ensure you're not in one of those, you should be fine though.

Quiz question. Last time Bulls played Leeds, I believe it was 2014, out of the current Bulls squad who was the only Bulls player who played in that game

Reflecting on the recent Furner sacking and looking back to better days for the Bulls, I still think it's pretty amazing that you stuck with McNamara for so long, after he effectively presided over the decline of the Bulls as a major force over several seasons. After all, he didn't win anything (unlike Brian Mac, for example), other than the prize for losing in the most comic of circumstances (although some recent Leeds performances are up there!). Even more astounding that the guy is *still* coaching in SL... If other coaches had been given that many second chances, perhaps they would finally win the CC too? (Well, maybe not James Lowes...).

We had no money to get rid. And still, some actually think he was/is a decent coach. I guess he must have something to still get a gig.

Anyone any idea on the.number of tickets sold.? Or want to take a stab at what the crow will be?

Well here we go ,it's game day. Hoping for a good performance and a good crowd.

He also presided over a period where we were selling our best assets because we couldn't afford the wages. His record is what it is but there is much behind it and it is far from just being any perceived lack of coaching ability.

Gledhill (I know) claims there will be between 12k -13k there. He also claims that the club sold 2500 tickets in the space of 24 hours.

I don't believe either of these statements for one second.

I think we'll have done exceptionally well if we manage to hit a 5 figure crowd.

To be fair he coached us during a bad period. Although we came off the 2005 GF win and 2006 WCC win there was a lot behind the scenes financially that wasn’t right that we never saw as fans. Peacock had seen the signs and went to Leeds. Pryce left for Saints. And the cheaper replacements obviously weren’t as good. Half our youth had left in previous years as we couldn’t fit them (Atkins, Ferres etc) in the side so for 3 years we didn’t really have anyone barring Cook, Halley and Burgess coming through.

He brought the likes of Addy, Olbison, O’Brien, and Whitehead through. Some of the better youth we have had recently. He also made some quality signings in Morrison, Menzies, Tadulala and Platt (1st year). He actually did really well with what he had but ultimatly was restricted. Look at 2010, he brought in Kearney, L’Estrange and Orford and the team were 4th at the midway point of the season, just a shame Orford got injured when he did.

He also brought the England team closer to beating Australia and although he never did the games were the closest they had been for a few years and we’ve built on that. Also done well with Catalan.

Anyway back on topic! Hope we get a 10,000 plus crowd and get some noise going and give it to Leeds. Been a while and I’m sure the lads will be keen to rip in. Hope we get over early doors to cause a bit of panic in their ranks and hopefully batter their pack as it has been all season!
