Well, then my suggestion is we need to agree on 2 banners, large and small, and use the large one until the day comes when everybody has to change to a small one.

If nobody tells 'em that it ain't the same large banner we've had for a while, they'll never know

Well perhaps, but you don't make the rules and neither do I. The point is, we've been told by the mods what must go in the banner, so unless we get revised instructions, what's the point of a banner that doesn't include what we are obliged to include? Presumably they're not kidding, and so designing a banner that doesn't comply with the design instructions is actually a total waste of time and effort?

Anyone officially clear this up once and for all? It's far easier to design a clean and sexy banner (and especially in the new mini size) if it doesn't [ihave[/i to be cluttered up with all the various wordings.
