Hey, I couldn't care less where he ends up, He's hardly a world beater, I'd prefer us to give our own young player Crookes. Wakey can take him for all I care, he's never done anything outstanding in his career to date, and probably never will.

Tbf he does look good in those highlights, but you could make a highlights video af Sheriffe or Platt and make them look good. Regular NRL watchers have told me he struggles to get in the team anyway, and when he does he never shows anything good. Apparently he was a huge disappointment in the WC for Fiji aswell.

If the Millard deal doesnt come off, id rather us give Crookes the centre spot than sign another centre.

I'd rather sign a half than a centre, but I somehow can't see that happening. It looks like we are going to sign a Full back, and a winger who can play a little bit of centre.

I'd go along with that but with proviso that platt and crookes are both up for the spot and the one in the best form plays each week rather than one being guaranteed the spot.
Would rather use the quota spot for a halve but cant see who's available and it looks likely that we'll gamble it on chris walker anyway.

That game against Hull at Odsal he was absolutely torn apart defensively and did nothing in attack.

I'm not going to start putting Millard down now just because it looks like he's off to Wakey. The fact is he's a young international centre and was exactly what we needed (among other things).

I'm gutted he's going to Wakefield, end of.

It was his first game at that level against one of the best centres in the league. It was always going to be a learning experience.

No, he was very good against Leeds at Odsal, and looked good against Wakey. You've gotta take the rough with the smooth with rookies, and you certainley cant condemn them 3 games into their career as a first team player.

The Hull game was his full debut, and he was up against an on fire Hull and Yeaman who taught him a few lessons in play. IMHO he improved each time he played and it was massively bad luck that he got injured when he did. With more chances and a consistant run of games he could be a starting for us in my view.

With Nero, Crookes, Platt (!), Sykes, Menzies a quality strike would be more than useful but not essential IMO. If Millard is that who knows, but it looks unlikely to me.

To make a descision on Crookes' ability is a bit mad, in the handful of games he has played for the first team, he has showed enough potential to warrant another go in the team next season, or whenever fit.
