| Catalans run in:
Bradford
A
Wigan
H
Leeds
A
Warrington
H
They are in serious danger now.
Beating Wakey today is huge. If we can do that and then beat Catalan at home I'd fancy us to finish above Catalan. I just can't see Catalan winning any of those last three games based on their current form.
They are currently on 24 points. If we win today and then beat Catalan we will be on 22 points with an easier (in theory) last 3 games.

| Maybe a coincidence but since whitehead joined them they are looking like they are in free fall, start of the season they looked formidable but with players getting banned let right and centre, expect another after the shoulder charge ko'd gaz o'brian, and injuries they look very beatable now.
A win vs wakey puts us 2 behind hull 1 above wakey and 4 behind Catalan and then we play them next week.
Never have thought it possible when we lost against Widnes and I did come on here sayin we the season is over but, not of our own making other teams being unable to win has given us a window back in, a window mind but it is a way back.
4 teams separated by 6 pts fighting for 2 places going to be interesting us a wakey are in abit of form cat and hull seem to be losing it

Yeah putting 70+ points on a team is a definite sign of a drop in form
Both Hull teams and Saints should be fine now, can't see any of them dropping out. It's frustrating that we lost that game against Widnes, as I have the feeling we are just going to fall short and end up finishing 9th.

| Catalan won't win another game hopefully which means they'll finish on 24. We have 20 points. I think we can win 3 out of our last 4 and finish above Catalan.

| Next week could be decider tbh. We win and only two pts behind but with couple of winnable games. Cats win and best we can do is match them on pts and think there pts difference is better

| Next week could well decide the 8 imo. If we (Hull) beat Rovers I think we are safe given that we have such a good PD and play Salford at home the week after. Then I reckon whoever wins your game will make it too. As a couple have said on this thread, if Catalans don't beat you guys then I don't see them winning again this year.

| Looks like we are as good as in the 8, according to the famous spreadsheet.
It is now predicting:
Warrington 43
Wigan 43
Hudds 40
Leeds 37
Bradford 28
Hull FC 28
Hull KR 28
St. Helens 27

To counter that if KR avenge "that defeat" You then play salford (win i think) but then its 2 very hard games against wigan, still see you making the 8 but it will be close.
Like has said we beat catalan really cant see how they are going to win again 3 very hard games for them.
6. St Helens 29
7. Hull FC 26
8. Bradford 26
9. Catalan 24
10. Wakefield 21
Cannot drop focus could slip up against Catalan they are good enough to win, Castleford score quite a few points they got 30 against wire, and London can push team close.
Come on Bradford lets keep it up.

does this famous spread sheet take points difference into account? you need a 100+ points swing to go above fc if that's how its predicted

| Catalan is now the big one!! Beat them and we are right in the mix, couple that with wins over London and one against either castleford or London then I feel we will make it due to The dragons final 3 games being Wigan, Leeds and Warrington. On the other hand, we could be the game that Catalan are targeting to get them the win they need to seal their spot

I think they'll get nothing from those games.
They are 'gone' having lost 5 of their last six (and defeating only London and by just 6 pts).
It's there for the taking now.

That is a very real possibility and may scupper our chances. We'll just have to wait and see, for now all we can do is win our games and see what happens.
And to answer your earlier question, no the spreadsheet does not factor in points difference. Even FA isn't that optimistic

| I just hope we don't lose out to Catalan on pd or by two competition points. Think back to who the Dragons played at the RFL joke concept magic weekend... That's right the SL whipping boys London. Whereas we got the SL leaders...Huddersfield.
Could end up costing us a fair bit of money if things get tight at the end. It'll be interesting to see what they decide for 2014 when clubs are battling to avoid relegation.

At least we have London at home in our run in, so while I have some sympathy for them and their fight to get established in the capital we really need to give them a good thrashing to boost our pd

| I'm not going to bet the housing keeping on us making the 8. I think we've had our chance at it this year and not taken it. In reality we pretty much need to win every single remaining game to do it, and I'm not sure we've got the consistency in the team to do that.
I'm not doubting the heart and commitment of the players or coaches and I would love it if we managed to reach the play-offs. I'm just being pragmatic about our chances and the chances of the teams above us imploding enough to allow us to sneak in the back door. Unfortunately, I don't think we're going to get the luck Wakefield had last year and have a team go bust so we can jump them in the table.

| If - a short word with a lot of meaning - we win the next three games we should be well placed and it could well be that our final game of the season against Huddersfield will decide both if we get into the playoffs, and if they win the valuable enamelled tea tray for comiing top of the table after the end of the regular season. With all that at stake we could even see away fans in double figures?

If we're lucky!
I really hope that game is an important one, and it looks like it will be. Can't wait to see the reception Kopczak will get.

No. Obviously, as it is based simply on predicting RESULTS. Not scores. As you don't put predicted scores in, how would you expect to get points differences out?
Unless there is a tie for 8th, in which case it's not hard to work it out for yourself, PD doesn't matter. It answers one simple question, are we predicted in the top 8 or not?
How does the table end up if you put in your predictions for the remaining results, out of interest?

| Apart from the kudos, and getting at least one more game, is there any "Prize money" for finishing in the top 8?
Just wondered in light of our finances.
