Hating Rhinos - or anyone - is pretty inappropriate and ineffective, I'd say?
I despise their club hierarchy - that is a different thing to "hate" - but I do not hate the club or their fans (most of whom, apart from Damo obviously, are decent normal folk like us). I'd just rather they lost rather more than they won, like they used to and like no doubt one day they will again as the wheel turns.

Well, Jamie Jones-Buchanan's carpet ears for one. They're an offence to anyone in surrounding areas.

| At the risk of being provocative I'd suggest that Bradford Bulls and their early SL success wouldn't have happened without the likes of Hetherington, who was one of the strongest proponents of the move to summer rugby and the adoption of the salary cap.

| I'd say the Bulls themselves with the likes of Deakin, Smith, Elliott and Caisley had quite a bit to do with the instigation of summer rugby and the Bulls early success too.

Your either 10 years old or live on the other side of the planet.
If you've lived and grown up in either Bradford or Leeds then you know of the rivallry over the past 100 years or so.
Why do Liverpool dislike Everton or ManU. Or ManU dislike Man City, Arsenal / Tottenham, Hull FC / Hull KR etc etc.
Its local rivallry simple as.

I had problems with this last season. GB vs Australia - great. England vs Australia - I ended up basically supporting Sam Burgess, with studied neutrality for everything else that went on. It was a strange game. The Sam Burgess team started that match really well and then fell apart. When Sam got substituted I went and got a mug of tea.

I understand totally. I find it hard to bring myself to cheer on the same players I dislike all season when they play for their clubs.
And even harder to cheer on England seeing as I'm Welsh....

I'm not questioning the fact that rivalry exists between the clubs, and FYI I grew up in Bradford as a Leeds fan so have experienced my fair share.
I'm just querying the nature of Adey's post which implied that the Leeds administration had done something unforgivable to Bradford. Or maybe I'm just reading more into it than was originally intended...

| I like Leeds and the attitude of those involved in and surrounding the club.
They carry out an incredible service teaching children about how not to act like an @rse when your team is doing well. The amount of stick Leeds will get when they are on the downward spiral whenever that may be will be confirmation of this and will be a joy to watch.

| There is usually about a dozen or so Leeds shirts in the away end when Catalans come to Odsal. I'm sure they are enjoying watching the Bulls
We returned the favour last year in the playoffs because there were a lot of Bulls fans at the away end at Headingley for the Catalans game.

| This is one of the great traditions of RL. The annual pilgrimage - initially only to Wembley - but now to Old Trafford as well, for thousands of neutral supporters. There is no way of knowing exact numbers of individual clubs.

| The British game gains nothing from this fixture so I'm quite comfortable in supporting Melbourne all the way.

as adeybull pointed out on another thread, theres no incentive for the 2nd and 3rd placed teams to take part if they have no chance of winning the title. The only team to benefit from 2nd and 3rd taking part would be the SL champions, because the 2 teams most likely to be the main challengers for their title would also suffer the same fixture congestion at the beginning of the season.

| The thing is, the wcc is NOT Australia vs England. It's club vs club. If it was an England team then Leeds would have to take the field without the likes of Webb, Lauititi, Eastwood, Donald, Delaney and Buderes. But they don't as it's a club game. And it's a club game then club loyalties still stand. We are still Bradford and there is nothing you can say that will make us cheer for Leeds
