Really encouraged by todays game. Been trying not to read too much into the previous friendlies but we looked good today against SL opposition.

Agree with alot of whats already been said about individual performances, particularly Kearney, would add that I also liked what I saw of Royston. Seemed to be there at every break while he was on, okay didn't get the ball but he was there which has got to translate into tries/breaks once people start trusting he's going to be there.

Great that we have a squad that doesn't pick itself because of the quality in depth in alot of positions.

Some excellent passin for Ah Vans try early in the second half (just watched highlights)

I'm very pleased with how much our passing (as a team) has improved already from last seasno. It will only get better with time too.

It's a shame those highlights leave out the Sykes try, it was the best of the match by some distance.

Have to say, watching those highlights, that our home shirt this year might be helpful for players who like to off-load. The almost total white of the shirt would be very visible to a runner in their peripheral vision

I have to ask the question though; Why don't the Bulls have these sorts of videos? Dewsbury, Keighley and Wakefield have them. Bullbuilder has them for the academy games, any chance of sorting out some highlights through the season?

Bullbuilder has them because one of our members spends hours of his own time editing the full match DVD down to an excellent highlights extract. Someone at the club would have to do the same for full matches - straight after the match. My guess is that whoever does it for those clubs does it for free in their own time. Do we have any volunteers to do it for us here? Because I suspect that is what hitherto it would have required?

That said, in discussions with the club a few months ago they did say the idea of video highlights was going to be looked at, so you never know.

It was Royston on his right. Langley broke through and looked left, ready to pass, but nobody was there. Before he looked right (where Royston was), he got tackled. It was more bad luck than anything or perhaps he simply didn't hear the shout.

Don't think Jamie is used to breaking through clean like that, as there's normally 3 or 4 defenders on him!

Anyone else think Herbert's short passes were a little risky?

He seems to look one way and pass the other which is ok if someone is on your shoulder but the opposition could quickly catch on to this and intercept the ball if it becomes predictable and he doesn't have any one in support.

I'm not saying I don't like the way he plays but the other guys need to make sure they support him which can only be good and what we have been lacking over the last few years.

Correct, I wonder if the club could/should setup a Bradford Bulls tv channel page on the club website with embedded links to SLTV clips? In the first instance that would not take too much time would it? (I'm no experet though, might be wrong on that), just maintaining links to clips from the Superleague website with a bit of blurb and maybe other links to the Bullbuilder channel, T&A page etc, old clips and so on.....?

If it then gets regular hits the club could start putting up clips advertising club merchandise and events, maybe with some associated sponsorship of the channel to maybe turn it into a revenue stream as well as a way of maintaining/improving links with the fans???

a good idea but i'm not sure that SLTV would allow the main match to be embedded on the bulls site seeing as you have to register your details to sign in to their site to see the highlights.

I haven't registered with superleague and I can see the highlights clip that runs on the home page after each round, today its showing some previews featuring our new coach and the Hood. So it must be available to all anyway.
