| Quote ="jools"We kept being told that our squad wasnt good enough to win anything- so how does that make them chokers? Surely chokers are when you have a team full of Australian players earning a wedge of a pay check (and putting the club in financial trouble) and failing to make the playoffs- not a team full of "Wigan and saints cast offs" making them easily.'"
Which team is full of Australians? Which of these australians got this club into financial trouble? Would love to hear these facts.
Chokers, because your management, fans and players have all stated you are good enough to challenge for silverware. You have also proven you can be one of the best in the league on your day. When you can't back that up at the right time, that makes you chokers.

| The Giants are on the verge of winning something and once we do it has the chance of snowballing. We now beat all the teams in sl on a consistant basis and have solid foundations to build on. Once silverware comes along then so too will the crowds. We've struggled until recent years to have a constant challanging team that has a chance of winning something and now we do its great.
The Bulls have had a sucessful peroid in sl and so too have Saints, Leeds and Wigan now could be the time of the Giants and who can begrudge us as we've finished bottom enough times but still stood by the club.
Its good for the game and good for the Town having a sucessfull club.
On a side note we brought a good following yesterday of approx 800-1000 fans. Not bad on a miserable day when the cost of admission was put up to £20, an increase of £4 if you bought direct from the Giants. The bulls only sent over 500 tickets which we shifted with no more tickets sent out.
Good luck in your fight for survival, its a shame that a City the size of Bradford has both a struggling Rugby and Football club and couldn't build a decent stadium if you put Odsal and Valley Parade together

| Moggie, it's a shame the 800-1000 fans you brought to Odsal didn't all bother to come into the stadium - then we'd have seen them. I don't begrudge Hudds their success (excellent Coach that they have) nor would I belittle them as a club, but their support must be disappointing to you?

I wouldn't say the Bulls are struggling. We're doing alright under the circumstances.
Whilst unable to really threaten Huddersfield for large parts of the game pretty much all the second half included our goal line defence was pretty good. The side Huddersfield had out was clearly a much better side than us and did a professional job in bad conditions. It looked like we were just about clinging on but we managed it and kept the scoreline down.
Brough is one of the most skillful players around and showed it on Sunday. Did everything right picking the right kicks for the conditions. We had one outlet and he was pretty much closed down. The Giants will have easier wins against better teams than us this season.
The question for us now though is how we move forward from the last three or four weeks on the field. I just hope that the off field stuff doesn't start to affect things as it's nearing pay day for May in a couple of weeks.
The crowd thing's getting a bit boring TBH.

To be fair, the Donny fans weren't getting wet through either but they certainly enjoyed their day out to the full.

| Bradford had 1400 at Huddersfield last year.
The only time I've personally ever seen that support for Huddersfield at Odsal was in 2006 (semi final).

| I cannot believe that you Bradford fans have moaned and had a go at the support - or lack of from Huddersfield at the weekend. You should be welcoming and applauding any fans who pay money into Odsal and watch rugby there. It all goes towards your bottomless pit, oops I meant begging bowl, or no sorry wrong again fighting fund. It is amazing how wonderful these people were a couple of weeks ago when you were wanting people to donate, pledge collect money for you. I don't understand how you can all comment about supporting teams my grandad knows whether Bulls have won or lost by the way fans pass his house on a match day. He knows that you have lost if he sees people walking past when there is still 10 mins to be played. He lives in Wibsey and he sees it often. I also think that last year, and on a lot of posts this year Bulls fans have said that they are not going to games, both home and away because they think Bulls will loose, or because its on TV so will stay at home where its warm. Well unless the weather affects your health or the game is in France, true fans should be there every week regardless of the possible score. Fans should always stay to the end of the game too. Players put their lives both working and actual, on the line every time they play and regardless of whether they win, loose or draw respect should be shown to them for that.

| Just wondering why it is all nearly boll0cks. Money paid in is money towards helping save the Bulls. This thread is now on page 18, and most comments are knocking huddersfield fans and the amount of support they have, and brought to Odsal. My grandad does see people wearing bulls shirts walk past his house before the end of a bulls game if they are loosing. Players do risk their lives when playing - look at the Fev player who recieved a broken jaw from a tackle made by Chase. He is out for around 10 weeks. He plays in the Championship so there is a good chance he is part time, that means not only will he miss out on playing rugby, but he will also of had to take time off from his other job. All players deserve respect, you might not like what they do, how they perform or not perform but they are people and I believe that all people deserve to be shown respect. I understand you may not agree with my post that is why we have forums and topics to be discussed, but at least explain your point of view in response to my comments.

| We are of course extremely grateful to anyone who donated money to help keep this club going, particularly those fans of other clubs who donated.
The thing is though that the people who are engaged in this bit of japery are largely the same faces that have been doing it on these forums for years. A forum like this is an echo chamber not only in the way we all usually learn something from each other and sometimes reach some kind of group-think consensus but also in the way we poke each other in the ribs in what is a mostly friendly way. It goes both ways, there's no harm in it and any animosity there is stands out for its rarity.
Anyone who donated to the club to keep it going surely did so to help keep things as they are - not on these forums but in general. Doesn't that entail all of this too? We're not ungrateful to those who donated, and I personally am not at all upset with even those who took the time to explain why they hoped we'd go under. We're just being fans on an internet forum.
It might seem like we're kicking your asses but that's just because there's not very many of you.

Where to start? Don't really care if your grandad lives in wibsey and sees people leaving early. Bet that happens at every ground in every sport in the world. What the heck has that got to do with anything. Bet no one can tell the difference, win lose or draw at cougar park
You go on to make some generalisation about Bradford fans not going to games because we might lose or it's on tv - baseless - how was the keighley v Sheffield game on the radio?
Where the chuff rangi chase comes into it I don't know?? Maybe I missed it because your sentence structure was giving me a migraine
We are thankful for every £ we get from oppo fans, I've seen what you said to Hindle XIII so not really in a position to have a go are you?

Nearly all in [iresponce [/ito giants fans, who are quite rightly ribbing us after a local derby win after we lorded over them for long enough, the wheel will turn...hopefully, but its their go on top at the moment, but you, and they, have to expect some back if you have a go at Bradford on a Bradford message board. Pretty sure all the huds fans have enjoyed this thread and taken the majority of comments for what they are, nonsence on an internet messgeboard between rival fans.

We have and do, were you at Odsal on Sunday or for the Donny game or Leeds game? The situation doesn't preclude any rivalary and banter though does it?

Which people? If its Giants fans you mean plenty of Giants fans might have helped, and thanks to them, some definately didn't however and came on here and put comments on the vt to tell us so. Yes, obviously, and? Who isn't respecting the players? only in the last few games the Leeds, Donny and Giants players were all applauded off by the popular terrace at the end of the game.

| I'm gutted I'm going to miss the return match at the galpharm. Hope you bring more than 700 fans or you are going to look very silly indeed. We sold out the allocation of tickets you sent and many more paid on the day so at least 700 giants fans attended- but still some Bradford fans stick their hands over their ears and go "la la la" looking at how many supporters were ACTUALLY at the game and not based on the inflated figures The bulls quote I would guess that the giants attendance this year will equal that of (the real figures for) Bradford. But that's not something that the blinkered fans on here will ever admit to. What I can say is that our support will continue to increase next year.
If you want to bring up the same old stuff at least stick to the lack of silverware comments-they actually do have some credence unlike the supporter comments which now do not.

Look, we know how many fans come from other clubs. This is because we can see them. And comparatively very few come from Huddersfield. I had sort of assumed that now you are top-end of the league, the away support would significantly increase, but it hasn't. Only Catalans and London bring significantly fewer than you do, and given how close Huddersfield is, that seems remarkable.
In terms of our away following to your place, of your top 35 home gates in SL, Bradford have accounted for 11 of them, far more than any other club.
In contrast, in our list of biggest home gates, the very first time Huddersfield features is at no. 57, so cut your bullcrap and face the facts.

| How could you see them? For one due to the weather most people had their shirts covered so from my view in the stand you couldn't tell who was who-the other thing is unlike many others we don't go in what you class as the "away" end when we come to odsal- we tend to spread out all over. You sent us just 500 tickets- people had to be turned away from our ticket office because we sold out of them -FACT. Many had to pay on the day. personally given the terrible conditions I think 700-800 is a very reasonable following. No we don't have the best following in the league- wire, Wigan, Leeds hull and saints are above us. Given Bradford has double the population of Huddersfield either you are doing badly or we are doing well!
