| So if it's correct that the players have been paid, it doesn't hide the fact we are in trouble again, but seemingly have managed to find a route to meet payroll.
As someone who lost the Close emotional attachment I'd had since 1967 with Debacle of the post liquidation season, I fully get others saying another financial problem will see them gone!!
Thinking about why, it has to be costs associated with Odsal, along with the costs of running a reserve, academy teams and all the costs associated with that. Our crowds are amongst the highest in the league, paying top dollar for the privilege, and I doubt our squad is paid more than most of the other teams around us. Not many of our competitors run academy and reserve teams, maybe we shouldn't to avoid this again, but that sort of feels like we're giving up if the Academy goes.

I doubt that running the reserves costs the club that much in the way of their 'income' since the RFL provide a substantial amount of additional funding to all the clubs running a Category 1 Academy. Although on the flip side, I reckon a squad of 30+, with 22 of those FT, costs more than quite a few clubs around you in the table.

Have we really got 22 full timers!! I thought it was much less, remember hearing Kear say after the Leeds game we had 7 or 8 part timers in squad that day
If it is 22 it's too many as Widnes found earlier in the season!!

| IIRC the RFL made it a condition on whoever took over in 2017 to run an academy, reserves and women's team.

| Whatever is/ maybe/maybe not happening At Bradford I hope it isn’t negative. Yes, I am a stout Fax and Yes Mrs Faxlore is a Bulls fan but ( forget the club for now) the poor fans, hardcore and floaters, have been put through sh@t over the last 8 years or so. Many supporters have put their own money’s into the club to help and Keep then alive. I hope these rumours are are just that, rumours.

| So has everyone ruled out the possibility that this still could be much to do about nothing?
Or does the wages allegedly being paid paper some cracks, so to speak.

| Paid wages certainly helps but the CCJ business doesn't. I don't care if other clubs have them too I want my club to be run properly and if it is you don't get them.
Given our recent history we need to avoid any dramas.

The other thing with ccj’s is that other people won’t give you credit for goods and services off the back of it. Which in turn is bad for your cash flow as you pay for everything up front. Security, drinks, water, ambulance etc etc for your next match need to be paid before you get the gate receipts.
The main thing is people who work for the club have been paid on time and in full. It’s the basics you’re supposed to do that.
The continued silence from Chalmers/anyone else in charge continues.
Give us something to work with man! We’re worried sick.

| Odsal rent, maintenance costs, rates etc i'm told is around 400k per year.9k a month rent gives the RL around a nice 10% per annum on their investment without any of the usual maintenance costs incurred by landlords.would imagine Mr Chalmers is in currently in rather delicate discussions with RL and the council hence the lack of public statements.Move and survive.

| Unless its effecting the day to day business (I.e. ability to function, agree new deals etc) then the silence will continue.
Business' will not speculate on rumour as doing so would set a precedent everytime someone wanted to make something up.
Whilst there is no official news either way I'm happy.

Charming...where would 'Fartown' be without Ken Davy?
Proper RL fans don`t want to see any club go down.
If you can`t say anything supportive get back in your hole.

| As will all of rugby as you are only club that players come from, let’s hope for the games sake you survive, probably that kind of humility is why some may relish in your demise, just a thought

On the CCJs:
Quote Meanwhile, Mr Chalmers has confirmed the club is not in financial trouble after two County Court Judgements against the club - totalling £2,100 - appeared on the public record.
He said he was not worried about the finances and admitted the CCJs were a mistake the club would learn from.
"It's not an issue from the club's perspective," said Mr Chalmers.
"All the CCJs will be settled.
"We didn't mean to do it deliberately.
"It was a mistake and we have to roll with the ups and downs."'"
On Odsal:
Quote Mr Chalmers told the Telegraph & Argus: "We will stay at Odsal only if we are able to do it on terms that are economically sound.
"Our wish is to stay at the spiritual home of the Bulls, but we need it to be financially viable."
Mr Chalmers described the stadium as a "legacy asset", meaning it has stopped being profitable.'"
Source: https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/ ... -s-future/
Well that seems to clear that up and the questions around Odsal. Perhaps everyone can stop the panic for a moment.
