looking at wording of that article its for tomorrows back page and someones messed up and posted it on website early. Keeps mentioning yesterday and last night when the meeting took place this afternoon.

A continuance of slack reporting by the T&A. Regurgitating news feeds from elsewhere rather than being d to seek primary information.on their own doorstep

So..... what do we think of the bidders then?

Seems to me that we've got various people who aren't really there for the love of the club or RL in general.

City - stating that they are only looking to buy us if there's nobody else
Avenue - primary motivation might be to get BPA to Odsal
Khan / Sutcliffe - only entered bidding when it seemed ABC bid was faltering
SLE - only there as a backup if all else fails

But we are where we are. Which of these do we want to take over?

Avenue bid seems most logical out of those assuming they have money to back it up. makes sense to have two teams using stadium and BPA's support base tends to be south side of city Iirc, so seems a better fit than City . But its a big assumption that they have the money unless there's someone else backing them.

SLE would either drop us to championship or sell us straight on which begs question why anyone they would sell us to doesnt come forward now and cut them out of deal?.

Unless somebody is waiting in the wings to see which division we play in before looking to buy it off one of the current bidders, giving them a profit at the same time.

anyone now doesn't want to take on the £1m+ debt and a loss making set up for next year or 2 to secure SL licence, would rather SLE cleared debt by either settlement or liquidation then hope to pick up club and use investment to fund team not the taxman. Oh....and hope they keep SL licence as the RFL need someone to pay for Odsal upkeep

If SLE clear debt by settlement then I'd expect them to include that cost in the selling price they ask for. Other clubs would lynch them if they sold us on debt free at a loss.

The RFL may well not tell clubs that they were sold cheaply, bit like the £700k loan they made without telling anyone......lol.....

It had been reported that the BPA AND abc bids consortium had been rejected. Do i take it they have come back with revised additional unconditional bids, or is this just the number of bids in total that we have recieved?

The condition attached (Bradford Park Avenue to become primary occupier/tenant) is a big stumbling block.

The ABC consortium is still very much active, while the BPA bid has one condition attached (see above).

What really is striking, is that since the intervention (30/3/12) supporters and members of the media, still hold the view/conspiracy that Chris Caisley is hiding in the darkness, pulling the strings.

Have you any indications that this might be true, or otherwise not true?

None of the bidders other than SLE appear to have the financial firepower to clear the debts. And I still cannot work out what SLE's exit route is from this. It doesnt make much sense for them to pay off the debts and drop us into the Championship, they surely cannot pay off the debts and sell the club on at a loss to a buyer that retains SL status, they surely cannot buy us without paying HMRC. I just cannot see a logical conclusion to this.

Are they paying off debts or just paying ongoing costs to keep the league the same until the end of the season?

It's all gone a bit vague - but then again the whole thing has been vague from the start!

The Epic saga goes on,for all the club got themselves in this mess and it appears the rfl are bending over backwards to help them it cant be good for the genuine fans not knowing what the outcome will be.

I dont think SLE will clear the historical debt. Why should they ?

The RFL has 4 bids on the table, i'm assuming included in these bids will be an offer to pay off some of the outstanding debts?

Why can't they choose one before the end of the season and we can move on! while in limbo the club cannot agree new contracts with any players or plan for anything, or maybe thats the plan?
