| One problem with forums like these is that people like (T)waterboy30 can get on it. Sliver back under your stone, just appreciate the support we will bring to add to your 4000 on Sunday. Idiot.

| Most neutrals would agree it is in RL's interest for Bulls to continue in SL, to the end of this season & beyond. I am sure the RFL think the same. On that logic what would you have happen?
1. Accept an offer that is clearly unsatisfactory or,
2. Try & secure a sustainable deal or,
3. Errrr....

Whose Neutral????
I can see both sides, from a PR point of view it's best not to have a club go bust.
From a Finance point of view, you can see why some clubs would want BB out of SL for the extra slice of the pie that they would get.
From my own point of view, if someone comes in unconditionally to buy the bulls then I see no reason why they don't keep a licence as they where awarded it and the club remains the same.
If SLE buys the club then I would want the bulls to go down, clubs are already making losses on their own to support another loss making enterprise ontop of their own and pay for it would seam madness. If SLE buys the Bulls then the only way to pay the clubs back for securing RL in bradford would be to slice up the Sky pie and let bradford build from the championship with lower running costs and run not for profit, until someone else buys the bulls.
If they liquidate, it's a new club, new company and should have to start the same as all new companies and not just have the points, licence, etc transfered lock stock and barrell, because that's not a new company.
It's only my prefered way of seeing it done, hopefully a new buyer is best for all concered anything else just gets very very messy.

Seen this repeated ad nauseum on here and elsewhere - can somebody give me proof that Sky/SLE will divided the current 14 slice pie into 13 slices if the Bulls go pop? I think that the Sky contract will stipulate 14 teams and if not the deal is to be re-negiotiated into something smaller.....

Some positives from the latest Guilfoyle missive.
There was a deadline for offers which expired last friday, ending further bidding.
At this time there were a number of bids -
Guilfoyle to clarify which bids best satisfy the RFL's criteria.
However Guilfoyle says he he must take the highest offer
These bids will be discussed with the RFL on Tuesday.
A preferred bidder to be appointed.
Completion of sale within the next few weeks.
Sale rather than Liquidation thus creditor agreement in some form or other

Thats positive, if we can get some form of agreement tomorrow with permission to start talking to players about contracts in the next day or so would be a huge leap forward

That might be pre-emptive.
We do not know how, and to who, the Old Club will be sold.
And whether the SL licence can be retained.

| Tomorrow? You're joking. Seems to me like the whole point our SL version of a club is about to disintegrate hasn't actually registered with those who are able to do anything about it. We need a buyer NOW to even have a remote chance of salvaging much at all, and yet the leatest blurb from Guilfoyle is that ""Ideally in the next few weeks we'll have a deal"
[urlhttp://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-league/19244500[/url
Not even "in the next few weeks", but "ideally".
What does he envisage happening, players and staff wise, within these "next few weeks?
What will be left after the "next few weeks" to salvage?

Not forgotten, just an ordinary creditor with no preferential standing. they have no powers over what Guilfoyle decides is the the best price for the sale of the Bulls for all the creditors.

Yup. Been winding me up aswell - longer it goes on the less it will matter what league we are in as it will be back to square one with team and coaching staff.

So, how will any sale be physically effected then, if HMRC don't vote for it? I'm no expert but have suggested several times now that if it's not liquidation, then it would have to be a CVA, and thus the required majority of creditors would have to support any deal. Nobody has said this is wrong, and I'd have thought they would have done. So to me, the elephant remains.

if HMRC are owed more than 25% of all debt you need their approval of any buy out bid that does not pay off creditors in full. They might except less than what they are owed and write off some of the debt, but then again who knows......

more importantly, reading between lines of what RFL have said or alluded to in various statements, in order to retain our SL status we need to either all or a very large portion of debts. Anything less and we're in championship.

I really dont think there is any chance that HMRC will accept a lesser value it will be all or nothing for them being a statutory and public body.
