Its hard to blame anyone for not going at the moment. Watching rugby at Odsal over the past three seasons has been thoroughly miserable. Even as a season ticket holder I have to say if Friday's a poor evening ill watch the game from the comfort of my own home as opposed to on a crumbling terrace with a few more depressed people! I just cant get my head around the total lack of action taken against the coach. Just how long are they going to give him?

Saw the highlights and thought your defence was terrible, no urgency at all and when you give saints that much space theirs only ever going to be one result, I suppose you've got to give them a chance with all your new signings I'm sure they'll come good but wether Macca will be in charge by then I'm not so sure.

New faces, new shirts same old gameplay/tactics. Same depressing walk home from Odsal, it's like we went back in time to last year! It was so depressing it was almost funny! The players have no desire or motivation, we can't have turned all the new Players bad in such a short time can we? I just hope that the we have a little cash left over for a rainy day some time soon to entice a real Coach to gloomy old Odsal. Stevie "Turnip Head" should have saved the money he spent on Sculthorpe (we didn't want injury prone Morrison) and bought a new playbook on Ebay.......

Mr Hood please tell us you are already in talks with our new Head Coach!! We cannot afford to carry on the season like we did last year foolishly living in hope. You are driving us to drink and some of us can't afford to support the Bulls and drink away the depression....

As an aside from the "sack Macca" thread, I feel that this point is more pertinent. It has oft been said that we cannot afford to get rid of this excuse for a coach because it will cost us money that we simply do not have at our disposal.

This problem would be solved easily if our esteemed coach would actually face reality and admit that he is incapable of doing this job whatsoever. He has been a complete failure and has dragged our club into the gutter so much that even bloody Wakefield fans are having a good laugh at us. He has dragged us completely backwards, he is incapable of sorting out our failings and his refusal to walk and hold us to ranson is just making matters worse.

He has publicly said that he does not read these boards yet members of his family do. Maybe they can pass on this message to him as it appears that he cannot hear, or read, never mind coach if he thinks that he is still wanted at the club. Hiding behing an equally inept chairman makes it even worse.

Mr McNamara, I believe that either you, or someone close to you will read this. You really need to go and walk away and let us move on from your pathetic reign in charge of the side. You are incapable of sorting the mess that you have gotten us into and if you cannot see this then you are actually even more clueless than I originally thought you were.

Read the opinions of many fans on here, the T&A board, the BBC board and other RL based forums (even those of other clubs) and see what people think of you. In four short years you have turned the RL World Champions into currently the worst team in super league yet you still think you can do a good job.

Given that this was posted on a "soon to be merged" thread called "Walk Away Mr McNamara", I would have thought it was quite obvious what the subject matter of my post was going to be.

Eddie, your suggestion that a man should effectively donate between six months and a year's salary to the club would carry more weight if you yourself had found twenty-five quid for the Burgii twins in the close-season.

Ah! This again. At the time I apologised for forgetting about this due to other slightly more important things that were going on in my life at the time.

However the similarity between one payment of £25 against the amount of money that McNamara's continued presence at the club is costing in regards to the rapidly dwindling fans is a bit of a curious point to me.

Anyway, I am not asking him to donate anything. He will have been well rewarded for his "efforts" over the last four seasons and he has taken more out than he should ever have had. To even think of having to pay him off is ridiculous.

Funnily enough, what “me and my merry men” take issue with ME over is not that “he has a right good point about McNamara”, but that (firstly) he has relentlessly pursued his single-issue total obsession on here without ever acknowledging any of the practical considerations and consequences others have raised and (secondly) that he seems to positively revel in and take pleasure from the Bulls’ misfortunes because – in his own strange mind at least – it makes him think everyone will finally see the Mystic Messiah was right.

What makes it all the more sad is that, to the best of my recollection, none of “me and my merry men” have ever said McNamara is the best coach we could have and that no-one could do any better. All we are effectively charged with in ME’s eyes is having the temerity to point out the implications of sacking the coach before his contract is concluded, and having the temerity to question ME’s motives for his obsessive campaign,

Pretty well everyone on here is expressing their views on the coaching situation borne out of frustration and bitter disappointment. And, for the record, I both respect them for expressing their views and strongly defend their right to express them. And that includes the latest iteration of “Our Friend” who has contributed much of interest and relevance, and with some passion, to the discussion. The one person who I will not say that about is ME, since I say he has simply taken advantage of the current situation to continue pedaling his single issue obsession. Any fool can do that, and it’s not clever; just sad.

I will happily donate twice the amount I was gonna sponsor Debaser in the first place as I have no interest in participating to something that you are involved in TBH.
