Let's not get carried away, it was a better performance not a good performance. Yet again decision making at key moments let us down, composure when it mattered dribbled away - oh for a play maker. Unfortunately l also have to question why Rohan persists with Addy in his customary role, trying too hard or simply not good enough - the latter on today's performance. Unusually as others have improved Addy has got worse, also don't think fully fit today. This season could have been so much more with a little application and direction. Shield games look likely....the bell begins to toll.

Best 2 things addy did where the grubber for mellows try and the hoof which marched us 40m down field after a penalty.

Thomas had a good game and his kicks to the touch line where we'll judged, though haggard you put some decent kicks in also, can't wait for Chisholm to come he and Thomas could work well together, not sure if we will miss addy past2 weeks be has not played well.

His long pass for our 1st try was sublime to be fair.

Don't post often but I thought we annoyingly played well today! Annoying considering we could be home and hosed if we played like that, or even 80% of that, every week.

As I said earlier in the season, the HB was always coming just in time for the middle 8s... As the Bulls said last season, we learnt lessons for the mpg loss and would implement them over our 23 game pre season. Unfortunately us fans have suffered by this pre season mode and we have shown we don't have the quality to coast which ultimately cost Jimmy his job.

We are now putting together a decent looking side, and with some luck on the injuries, we may have sneaked the mpg again but we have left ourselves short of the top 4 and might pay the price of resting on the laurels.

Thought the lads gave everything today. We shouldn't be so far behind Leigh but we are! Addy started poor but got better until he had his right eye completely shut for him and was clearly struggling to see ie why he stopped and did the 360 turn.

Would you bother bringing him back though? Hasn't played in ages can't be near match fit.

Given our limited options, yes.

Bradford's tackling near their own line was very good (after 20 minutes) and even though you only got past our 25 metre line 3 times in the 1st half you scored twice, and the other was stopped by a Leigh 'knock on/interception). 2nd Half you were much the better side, error free (until the last 10 min) and 'keeping the ball alive' in our half, we really did struggle at times. We were lucky to win today (on our 2nd half performance) but as in the previous meetings in the last 2 seasons, they are always very close games. Can't believe you lot are relying on others dropping points to make the top 4. Not seen Halifax play for a while, but they have 3 very tough games in the run in. Surely you will beat Haven/Oldham (though they are both battling for survival)...Fev away is the BIG one isn't it ?

I REALLY rate Adam O'Brien, this guy is a class act, and is defo capable of S/L!!

Watched him closely today, and, as a Leigh fan, this guy has the variety in his game to be a star for a VERY long time!

Thoughts on Stuart Haworth?
Personally not impressed... Defence is good and he likes to move away from the ruck and look to make something happen, but his distribution is so slow. Not once throughout the whole game did he execute a clean pass off the floor; every single ruck he stands up, takes a step and then thinks about passing. Our line speed increased dramatically when OB came on. Give me OB and Lumb any day!

Think OB is playing well as he's not playing 80 minutes every week. Agree, he should have come on sooner and played about 60mins.

Don't think Haworth did much wrong in fairness - had a decent enough game. Considering he's only a very short term solution, I think we could have done much worse.

I do agree Smith think fully worked out how much to use AOB to his full potential - probably should have been on a little sooner yesterday, and similar story in the Fax game once it looked like the result was slipping away from us.

Whatever you say about Beaumont, he's put his money where his mouth is. Leigh were in dire straights a few years a go.. He's put money into the club to sign players but he has also grown the club. Throwing money doesn't mean success. Look at Sheffield & Salford. Sheffield and Leigh have both gone FT recently, one has got it bang on, the other has got themselves into all kinds of problems. Although he's thrown money at the squad, he's also grown Leighs fan base. Again both Beaumont & Koukash have thrown money at their clubs, one has grown their fanbase, the other hasn't. He just needs to engage brain before mouth.

I think Leighs problem with only getting 5k is they are a victim of their own success. They are about to finish top of the championship for the third successive year, and again might not get promoted. It's hard to attract fans and get fans excited when in reality, winning or losing doesn't really matter. Leigh fans know that the last 7 games are all that matter for them. Take the middle 8s out and Leigh have lost 3 times in 3 years. Yet will probably still be in the championship next year. The system is wrong.

The two league games last season meant something and produced the crowds to match. This season I think the Bulls gate was 3k down and ours over 2k. It will be interesting what gates we get in the 8's, just hope we don't have to play 3 of our 4 home games at Saturday 3pm again, it cost us a fortune
