I can only assume that the club has someone lined up, hence the cutting of some expensive players.
But, I'm prepared to be disappointed...

| It's a shame to see him go, but he's had at least three serious injuries that I can remember so far in his Bulls career. The chances of him lasting another season without getting another one are pretty slim imo.
I'm sure another club will find a place for him and wish him all the best.
Positives to take from this are that this probably means more game time for our young british players who would have been kept out of the team by him.
Alternatively it also frees up a quota spot for next season should the club choose to bring in another overseas signing.

Don't be. Danny Brough, a centre and a winger to replace Semi will all be coming. Semi will be in Union next year.

| Really?? Not what I'd heard - your playing by instalments aren't you? So answer the question - where is the transfer money coming from to buy Brough?

| The right choice IMO
For me it had to be only one of Morro and Menzies and Menzies is far better. He will give the guidance / mentoring to the young kids.
We've all been saying there are too many backrowers at the club, so we shouldn't be surprised by this really.

But, just like Newton, I fully expect it to come back to bite us next year

| Shame to see him go. I personally would have prefered to see him on the coaching staff as I think he's got a lot to offer young lads coming through the ranks in terms of experience and passion for the game

As we've made profits of £200k+ for the last 2 years, i'd guess the money would come from that,

| Its a testament to the player that nobody is suggesting his leaving is anything to do with ability or form. The ONLY reason anyone is giving, and quite rightly so in my opinion, for agreeing with him leaving the club, is his injuries. Even the monetary reason is really based on the fact that he's been injured (since personally I'd be happy for him to be the top earner providing he could stay fit).
Such a shame that anyone may remember him for being injury prone when he should be remembered for the top player he is/was for us.
Hope he does well wherever he goes. Just rather he was injured when it comes around to his new team playing against us!

Sound - a rugby club in profit - how much do you think he will cost?

| Sad news this but unexpected if I'm honest, I'm sure there will be one or two superleague teams after him.
Always a pleasure watching him and I wish him the best.

tend to agree with that. latest injury was a bridge too far imo. if he stays in superleague he will be a player who comes back and causes us problems. However the cap and quota space are probably better spent in other areas of the team than the forwards.

| gutted to see him go , but its the right decision , think it was between him and beaver to be honest and beaver has put the minutes in on the pitch this season.
Hopefully he gets his coaching qual's and comes back.

| Pretty gutted to see him leaving, I think despite his injuries he can be still be classed as a good signing for us. I can understand the reasons why he is going and I just hope we now use the freed up quota spot to strengthen the right area's of our squad.
I expect he may end up at another SL club and probably on a 2 year deal. On the bright side we have players like Donaldson and Whitehead who will almost certainly get more game time with one less player to compete with.

I agree that with his record we have to let him go.

| tough call this one. A superb player when fit, but he only played 10 games last year and has managed only 5 (IIRC?) so far this. As a top earner Im not sure the club could take the risk. It was also mentioned by others as well as me that it was always probably one of Menzies or Morrison to resign, with some of our better prospects coming through in the 2nd row.
Fantastic player for us, I wish him all the best, even if its whilst playing for another superleague club, and I agree that if he stays fit next year he'll come back to bite us and Im sure people will question us letting him go. But as we stand today building next years squad its just about the correct but very tough call....as long as the significant cap money is spent wisely on a quality half back or two that is.

| Gutted that he's going he has been very unlucky with injuries for the last couple of seasons and it probably would be too much of a risk to re-sign him.
Glenn you have given your all for the club and all the best for the future.

| Shame he`s going but too injury prone. I would have liked the bulls to have given him a coaching job, would be better to take him on and get rid of some of the backroom staff we have at the monement.

| A brilliant player who never gives an inch, plays like his life depends on it and runs some good lines. I wish him all the best wherever he goes and I'm sure if he returns to play against us he'll be roundly applauded.
I'm sorry he's going and I'm not sure we have anyone with enough steel to fully replace him, but I can see that if it comes down to either Beaver or him, it's a calculated risk based upon minutes played and the freeing up of a quota place.
