I'm disappointed he's leaving, but at the same time I'd be disappointed if he didn't get another SL club. While I was reading the interview with Petersen yesterday it basically outlined to me he was very similar to Donaldson - so that put the writing on the wall for me.

Just like Bateman at Wigan, I'll be keeping a close eye on how James goes.

Again with out trying to sound disrespectfull to robin fans. I can't imagine him improving much as a player at hull kr . If he was at the top end of the teams and his attack improved I could have imagined him pushing towards internationals now I just think meh.

Disappointed he's leaving, especially the way the club have stood by him during some serious injuries, you'd think he'd want to repay that faith. But heyho, onwards and upwards.

In fairness the club had to stand by him, it's called a valid contract even allowing for injuries. When he did have a spell injury free we then rewarded with an incentive based 1yr deal when he wanted longer deal if I recall??

I Like Donno, but his problem is one he cannot control, - his size, or lack of it. Got a big heart though.

Hopefully having spoken to people at our club and bearing in mind that it his career on the line he feels he knows more about his prospects of developing his game than you do as a complete outsider. I am sure you would have held the same opinion about Cas' signings for this season. Your first quote gives you away. If you weren't being disrespectful you would not feel the need to comment on it.

Massive heart. Great in defence. Unfortunately he can't beat a man in attack and is far too small. He will be a good loose forward but probably not a great one. Still, best of luck to him but I also see Peterson as a far more aggressive replacement.

One of the top tacklers in Superleague any side would miss that.

From the clips of the new LF we have signed (former KR player, who's name escapes me), I actually think we have signed a better prospect than Donno for the LF position.

If he is 5'11" & 14st I cannot remember a single international backrower of that size. Liam Farrell is a better player, at a better team, taller & heavier but still not big enough for top level.

Dave Petersen, I wondered what happened to him.

It'll be interesting to see how Donaldson goes next year, I must admit, I've only heard of the lad, don't know much about him at all, young hungry English players is of the essence in our remaining recruitment drive.
