| Seems there is some doubt where Toronto will play there home fixtures next year.
Tweet from Derek Beaumont from 22 hours ago ''@leighcenturions fans please do not make any arrangements for the Toronto game until hearing from the club next week. Thanks in advance''
I have read a rumour they have applied to play at Odsal next season.
Seems strange to me as they was getting good crowds so why would they do this IF TRUE

| Very strange situation if true. Any reasoning on why they want to move their home games over here?

| Sounds like bull to me, if you pardon the pun.
If they were going to play home games over here, there's no point them being Toronto. They would effectively be Bradford Wolfpack. Although if they priced their season tickets reasonably, I may well go and watch them!

| It either is a load of "bull" or if true, it is the end of the Toronto team and a farce.
No, they will be playing in Toronto.
Maybe New York will actually play at Halifax and the other American team play at Batley.
Why don't we rename ourselves to Florida Bulls.

| Halifax have also advised their fans not to book travel yet. Been a rumour doing the rounds for a while that they will be playing some, if not most, of their home games in the UK.

| Why is anyone surprised by this news (fake or true), it reflects again how this great sport is being made a laughing stock. What can you expect when the guys in charge NW and Rat Rimmer look and act more like Laurel and Hardy than Laurel and Hardy ever did. ANOTHER FINE MESS.

Me neither. And as you say, there's no point ranting and raving about it while it's nothing but a rumour.

| Is this from the same sources that we were definitely going to be saved by the RFL and play in the championship in 2018
Someone mentions it on social media and suddenly it starts becoming fact. Wouldn't surprise me if it's a Fax fan on the wind up again.
It's probably a case of if Toronto are drawn at home in the cup, they will decide to play their games at a specific venue in England rather than the away teams venue.

Erm
A) It's what we do best!
B) We're talking about the same RFL yes?

| Whilst it's all complete hearsay at the minute...
It would make more sense as a reason for the fixture list being delayed - they would either be looking to make sure they avoid conflicts of games being played at Odsal OR, perhaps even be evaluating the possibility of having a few double headers and getting a few more spectators into the ground!

| When its been explained exactly what they're doing and why, complete with list of fixtures (links above) - then how is it complete hearsay?
Their grounds' having a load of work, they'll play away for the fist half of season, and is it I think 11/12 of they last dozen games at home.
Nothing to see. Except I should think some unhappy Wolfpack fans but it would be a price well worth paying for me if someone did just that with Odsal.

| It’s a non story really. It’s pretty clear that Toronto are playing away games at away grounds first then all home games.
It’s a bit harsh on any players based here, or indeed there, as they will be away from families for a long time.
It makes you wonder why they can’t find another ground in Toronto anywhere.

Although it could be argued that they will not suffer any effects of trans-Atlantic travel, for any of their away fixtures. Unlike the other Championship teams when they go to play in Canada.
It could be that Leigh 'Fax, Fev, London etc. opt to play all their second half of season home games in Canada!

| Quite funny how things escalate...
It could be quite handy for Toronto though, having solid home games towards the business end of the season to pick up momentum towards the middle 8s.

Unless they make a mess of their away games and are too far behind, to get into the '8's'!

Last year it was the local weather that prevent home games till May
..... Has their climate changed so much that they could play the games if it were not for the ground works? Leigh fans are being told not to book anything yet for a game scheduled 9 weeks after their first planned game in Canada!

I have no idea, but to throw something else out there........they were getting 7,000+ crowds at the back end of the season and had an 8,500 crowd against Doncaster. Their ground holds 9,600 so maybe they are anticipating a very large crowd for the likes of Leigh (who are known to travel well) and are in the process of finding a suitable ground to host it?

Taking a thousand or so fans to the likes of Featherstone is a little different to Toronto. Regardless of how well your team "travels", I don't think they need a new ground to accomodate people going to Canada.
