How much more balanced does that team appear now compared to a few weeks ago when you add Bylthe, Ferguson, Fakir and Gaskell? Selection decisions, whatever next....

1 or 2 quality additions and we might just stand a chance, but, we desperately need to cut out unforced errors -especially early in the tackle count and in our own half.

Great to finally see such a strong squad. I just hope to God that no one is being rushed back from injury too soon!

Two real props on the bench? What's that all about?

Is bridge just being given a week off or has his loan ended? Can't hurt to rest both him and Olbison given Easter fixtures coming up though.

Walker for Fakir for me, think he needs another weeks conditioning

You don't need Addy and O'Brien on bench waste of a spot.

I assume they meant for Addy to come on as replacement 2nd row / loose, not hooker.

I think we are pretty close to our strongest line up, but I don't think - on current form - Addy or Chev would be in the 17 for me. I think Bridge is going great and would love for him to stay for the rest of the season, right now he's in front of both Addy and Olbison. From a home grown point of view that is a shame, but we can't afford to be sentimental right now.

I'm also in two minds about Adam Henry still. At times he shows good touches and always seems to make good yards going forward, it's his defence that worries me a little. Moving BLythe to the centres and putting Bridge in at 2nd row might tighten up our defence out wide a little.

Still, it's good to have most of our tiny squad fit going in to the busy Easter period.

I'd have both on bench, Addy gives us an option if anything happens to Gaskell & can spell back row. Obviously o Brian will be needed to spell Diskin (who again we don't know is 100% fit). I think it may be too much of a risk starting Gaskell, diskin & Sidlow. I'd be tempted to start Mullally and bring Sidlow on from bench.

Hopefully Ferguson will do a better job of containing Hock than we did last season against Widnes. I'm still worried about Addy and Henry in defence and would've probably stuck with Bridge on balance, but we'll see how it goes. Salford fans are very confident whereas I dunno what the heck we can do.

And then throw in Bentham...

Well that will add some spice if its all square with 5 minutes to go - maybe they should order some taller posts just in case?

A recall must be a distinct possibility. The current Giants look nothing like the team that beat Wigan and hammered us. And if Brough thinks his behaviour is what's needed from a captain , I think Baloo will have a little word.

Watching Hull FC tonight makes me hope that Gary Schofield slams some of players in his column next week. He absolutely slated Westerman Miller and Rankin this week and they were all excellent tonight.
Not quite as spectacular as when he ridiculed JP a couple of years ago-- remember his phrase 35 is the new 40.

How well did Carvell play tonight?

These Thursday night games are really not helping the attendance.If that game had been played on a Sunday afternoon I reckon the Giants would of took at least 65 instead of 43
