Would have liked to have attended this one given the support given by your chairman, but Mother's Day meal means we're unable.

Same situation. Swore I'd never miss another Widnes game but family duties next week.

You can get a nice meal in the Crown or another place in Widnes with your mother. I am sure you can buy her a ticket and enjoy the family atmosphere.

I think this game will be much closer than people think to be honest, and the more the merrier. Mums day can be anytime of the year, it is just another money spinner like Valentines day.

I'll be there but can see it being much of a close game, we must be pushing close to 17 fit at the minute - unless a mircale happens and we sign half a squad by sunday

This could be a thumping victory from Widnes. They have surprised a lot of people this season with how much they have improved, myself included, and are a real force at home.

I would have said a win for us even with the fit players we have, however, after the RFL ditching The Lamb bid we will get thumped and i can't blame the players and coaching staff.

Remembering the days of the early 2000s when you had a team of players the size of transformers and you used to steamroll small teams into the pitch. Clubs like ours couldn't get close.

LOl, I go back that far as well. We seemed to be the only team who could give Widnes a game back in the seventies...some cracking games in the cup though - even if we did usually lose!!

I still refer to "the Stuart Wright Bounce" today, but bloody kids nowadays don't know what I'm on about..

My “favourite” Widnes team was that great side that won the title in ’89. They had it all, a powerful, scary, skilful and incredibly quick side. They were great to watch and played the game with style if you like it fast, skilful and tough. I was utterly amazed when we drew with them at Odsal and amazingly beat them on their own ground when we were fighting to stay up that year.

Tait, Davies, Currier, Wright, Offiah, Myler, D,Hulme, Sorensen, McKenzie, Grima, O’Neill, Koloto, Eyres as a starting 13 was awesome.

Aye, they ere a truly 'great' side, and no mistake.
