I need something to take my mind off what I've just seen today so here we go it's the big one on Friday and our annual trip over to Headingley for a game that is must win now if we are to even make a go of the playoffs with Hull FC 3 points clear.

Lose this and Hull FC pick up the points at Belle Vue on Sunday then it really is season over (I won't admitt it just yet).

With the game not being on Sky it would be nice to see the Western Terrace full of Red, Amber and Black.

Must win fixture.

Today was a must win fixture at home, and they couldn't be a***d. Why will Friday be any different? Oh yes, it's Leeds, so some of the players might put in a little bit of an effort. But it's going to be another embarrassing defeat to kick start the Rhinos momentum going into the end of the season.

Form counts for nothing come Friday. The Leeds defence has been outstanding during the last couple of games. Against Crusaders we repelled them on our own goal line time and time again. However our attack is poor.

Leeds will put 30+ past us, to think anything else is optimism the likes of which I just can't reach.

I think we will put in a good performance against Leeds but doubt the 2 points will come our way. Ah Van should be dropped pure and simple. He has an edge of complacency in his game and against Saints last week and Hull this, he has been dreadful.

Despite how bad we played today no way will Leeds put 30+ past us on Friday.

I'll remember that and take no pleasure in quoting you after the match on Friday night.

Looked to be hobbling badly by the end today.

Time of year comes for us to make our annual trip over to Sheddingley, really not optimistic we are such a frustrating club to support, hope Im wrong but can only see another defeat for us come Friday, hope so much that I am wrong, obviously Im going but if we play like we did today we will get found out! Again.

Kearney, Ainscough, Royston, platt, raynor, jefferies, Herbert, koppy, diskin, lynch, whitehead, elima, Langley. Bench: addy, burgess, scruton, donaldson. Ah van does not deserve a place in the team! Hopefully Ainscough will be back

I said no to Ah Van being dropped but only if he's going to play on the wing. He's much more useful there.

How can he be useful on the wing? He cant even catch a ball and centre!

he's scored some cracking tries from kicks that he had no right to. this involved catching the ball. Before the Saints game he wasn't getting this much stick, I say let him play on the wing and we'll see why he was developing into a fans favourite again.

Agree Ah Van should be moved back to the wing, not dropped. Why we played the second half with a winger at full back and a full back on the wing still escapes me.

Imo weve seen enough of ah van at (hudds,saints and hull fc) to know hes out of his depth there. he's looked a lot more comfortable on the wing. that said think he needs a rest this week to try anget over whatevers causing his leg to be strapped up every week.

The fact that he is playing centre doesn't excuse the amount of errors he has been making recently. Players have been dropped for far less so far this year. He'll be very fortunate to keep his place for Leeds IMO.

Its been strapped for so long now one weeks rest probably wont make no difference at all.

TBH I suspect your correct and its something that requires surgery to fix. probably something that he can play on with without making it significantly worse but it not going to get better until he goes under knife and with all the other injuries they are hoping he can see the season out before getting it sorted in off season.

I hope so, but doubt it. From what I saw on Friday, we could still be playing Crusaders now and not have got above 30.

Crusaders know how to defend though, that is the key difference between them and us.

I don't know what to say, really. 30 Hours to the biggest battle of our professional lives. All comes down to today, and either, we heal as a team, or we're gonna crumble. Inch by inch, play by play. I'll tell you this, in any fight it's the guy whose willing to die whose gonna win that inch. And I know, if I'm gonna have any life anymore it's because I'm still willing to fight and die for that inch, because that's what living is, the six inches in front of your face. Now I can't make you do it. You've got to look at the guy next to you, look into his eyes. Now I think ya going to see a guy who will go that inch with you. Your gonna see a guy who will sacrifice himself for this team, because he knows when it comes down to it your gonna do the same for him. That's a team, gentlemen, and either, we heal, now, as a team, or we will die as individuals. That's rugby guys, that's all it is. Now, what are you gonna do?
