Funny how we've had 15,000 and 12,000 (might I add that was against WAKEFIELD).

That's 5% of your population. Cas achieved 11% of theirs. It's a duff argument in many ways i know but for Gledhiil to use the words "the Castleford public couldn't be d" is plain wrong when you consider such numbers.

I feel sorry for the lazy supporters who stayed away.

It's either the above or Hull Kingston Rovers brought 4,000 supporters to Castleford last week.

Considering that we have a Football team in the Football League who regulary get 10k plus, and we still manage to get over 10K. Thats pretty good numbers to me.

They don't usually poll such low turnouts though. Cas normally get 6,000+

Still, when there's two other clubs struggling to get 2,000 i guess it's there's too much embarrassment around in SL presently.

I admit that Cas did well to get 11% ?? Of their population but regardless we still have an average of 14k. So what about population percentages, the only figures that count are the attendence (obviously score and that but for this thread attendences). I posted on Cas' page, well done on the win, I want you to do well but you can't really make an argument about attendence because so far we double yours :/

Populations are for the town or city concerned other than Quins where I used the population of the borough of Richmond to get a proper comparison. As I've used 2009 attendances, the population for Bridgend is given.

Obviously though if you were to think that only population determined crowd size, you'd be a bit daft.
