I wouldn't even begin to suggest which players JK should select - I trust him to pick the best team available and it's nice to have the option of different players to choose from.
Based on last season's league position and last week's result this should be one of our easier fixtures but looking at all the teams we have to face this season I don't think there'll be any easy games and a mid table finish will be a very positive outcome to the season to build on for the future.
I was at both the first two games and whilst I didn't see what kicked it all off what bothers me a little is that the common denominator in both instances is some Bulls supporters. It seems to me that those involved (on both sides) need to take a good look at themselves and try to avoid getting into confrontational situations which only besmirch the good name of Rugby League in general and Bradford Bulls in particular.
Just watched the highlights.
We've conceded five tries so far this season and four of them have come from us being unable to deal with grubber kicks into our in goal area. One of those Jy was out of position, but the other three were complete clangers that we should absolutely have dealt with.
I suppose in some respects you can take this as a positive in that for the most part our defence is pretty solid. But the flip side is that we need to tighten up in this area before teams start to pick up on it and start kicking us to death.
We ground out a win. Thought Minchella looked a bit more his old self. Green worked very hard.
Overall in attack we didn't make the most of the opportunities. A lot of our last tackle plays were poor resulting in nothing kicks. We seem unable to move the ball through the hands quickly. Ryan hardly got a pass. Pickersgill needs run straighter, he seems to run the players outside him out of space as he heads towards the touchline. Not a good day for either halfback.
Defensively we were never threatened with ball in hand. Just a couple of brain farts clearing kicks again.
Swinton aren't much cop but we were made to work for this win.
