It is really the number 6, but the loose can, and does, depending on the circumstances, take that role. Our problem is that there isn't one identifiable position where we are looking lost; in the last game (Ok, I'm going [islightly[/i over the top) there were about 13, IIRC. To be more serious the area we look weak in does seem to move about week to week. Potter must be tearing his hair out.
The other big problem is that there isn't much available mid-season (and incidentally, I don't think Gleeson would have been anywhere near the answer. A couple of years ago maybe, but he's nothing like the player he was and comes with far too much baggage. Hull's as good a place as any
) and, in any case, we have a more than one good candidate for loose forward coming through the ranks with Addy, Donaldson and Olbison all looking very promising.
