good new for koppy as think last few games has been very good going forward think crossley will be released esp if we sign another prop

I'm glad he's signed a new contract as his improvement at the back end of this season has warranted it. However I'm not convinced 3 years is the right amount, as I'm not sure he's showing enough yet to justify a long deal. Hopefully he will though and if he continues the improvement he has shown recently, he will justify it.

To play Devil's Advocate for a moment though, does anyone think it would have been a 3 year deal if he wasn't a "home grown" player with the current rules in place?

Probably wouldn't have gotten the contract length without the HG status, I agree. But hopefully he'll justify it starting next year and hopefully we will have a more sensible interchange rotation under Potter which will see him play longer than 15 minutes again

Yup, definitely.

Koppy really is one of those players who you want to see do well. He seems such a nice and genuine lad that you really want to see someone like that succeed. Hopefully the security of this deal will give him some confidence, and along with a bit more game time, see him live up to some potential.

Has earnt the new deal I reckon. He's improved no end with more game time and has plenty of potential. As a home grown player the deal was a no brainer really.
