Quote ="Ferocious Aardvark"The fact that we can't beat one of the rubbing rags of the league at home, shows how far the players we can field have sunk. A mixed bag. Some good work from some of the young lads, and also Menzies, L'Estrange tried, but also much disinterest and a lot of woeful, abysmal tackling. And for 75% of the game amateurish, disinterested, woeful attempts to break down a defence that, let's face it, isn't very good.
Anyway it's the same old show at Odsal, whoever we play. We manage to spend a lot of the time in the opposition 40, but look utterly clueless as to what to actually do. Then they get it and go the length to score. It's like deja vu all over again. I was just making that point to the bloke who sits next to me when they did it yet again.
There seems to me to be factions in the camp I'm afraid. And if there isn't, or maybe either way, we need a big clear out at the end of the season.
Yes, woeful is the word. And the "spirited fightback" near the end only made it worse. If they can have a go like that for 10 minutes - why not the rest of the match? Woeful. Awful. Woeful.'"
Agree with that 100%. The players don't seem to concentrate for the full 80 minutes. When they put some effort in they can be a good side, shown once again by our last 10 minutes today. Same old story though, concede early, fightback but ultimately too much to do. Lessons clearly not being learned.
