Quote ="Adeybull"I'll almost always go for a forward in these stakes, because its usually (although not always) one of them that gets through the (often-overlooked) hard graft that builds the platform (or arrests the rot!).
Hard one this year though, and the short list has to be Lynch, Menzies, Halley and maybe Nero IMO.
(Had Worrincy followed through on that initial promise, maybe he'd have made it there. And if we were looking at last few weeks only then Scruton would surely be in the running IMO. Morro would ALWAYS be in the running, just that he was injured so much - If anyone deserves a hell of a send-off, he does.)
I'd probably go for a hugely-influential Menzies on balance, but its close. Halley maybe shades it over Lynch, but only because he has been available for more games. In a full season I think Lynch would be there again.
Donkey of the year? A few queuing up for that one...'"
Lynch and Halley have been available for round about the same amount of games this season haven't they? Halley was on loan whilst Andy was injured???
