I havent voted as you cant choose two. I dont think he would want to be number 2 to anyone here, and if he goes his coaches should too. I would keep him as an assistant, but to a head coach, not a director of rugby.
There needs to be a shake up done in the coaching dept.
I think McNamara's lack experience means he's not able to change his tactics on the fly, so a Director of Rugby coming in, if just for a year or 2, just to steady him and give him a bit more knowledge would improve matters.
There's also the matter of defensive coaching. Both in terms of the defensive line and tackling styles/techniques. This is something that needs to be sorted if we're to be any sort of force again
