A good result to kick off the season against a side that is normally a handful

Vea and Amor outstanding as mentioned. Real workhorses. Good stats for Thompson, Savelio and Richards too.

Walmsley not reaching his usual heights but that's expected with it being his first run out. Hopefully we'll see more going forward from Lama Tasi.

Tasi goes down to Easy imo.

Very low on errors and penalties though and looks like he put a shift in defense too our top tackling prop.
Wilkin looks to have taken up alot of the tackling too.

His first shift was pretty good, did everything that was required in those conditions.

Tasi is a mini-me of Mose. He does the same stuff but with absolutely no impact at all. His stats in terms of tackling numbers might be decent, but his metres made will never be the best.

I don't think he was bought as a impact sub was he? Thought we got him in to put a shift in, play decent minutes and tackle everything that runs at him. That's already 3 things that Mose didn't do nowhere near often enough.

We got him to do some of the grafting work and take the load of Amor. Seemed to work OK to me put more defensive tackles in than our other props and allowed Amor to get more metres in his shifts. Our impact men were Walmsley and Thompson on Friday night.
One thing I did notice is %completion and errors have improved, I believe they have been doing a lot of ball retention work to make sure we are completing our sets and not giving cheap ball away.

We are going to need to share out the tackling more especially next season when interchanges reduce

I'll put money on Tasi doing more tackles and more meters than mose does in a season and I'd say by a big amount. He's probably done more tackles in Fridays game than mose does in 3 games.

Some weeks mose was sub 30 meters some games and less than 10 carries which imo means we have a player and not half of a player.

I thought Luke Thompson looked good Friday and I'm hoping for a big year from luke.
