| Hats off to Brian McDermott for putting Koukash in his place. The man is an embarrassment to rugby league.

| McDermott should have kept his thoughts to himself, arrogant . Salford wouldn't exist without Dr K and it's not like other teams haven't been slaughtered at some point in RL (Wakey by 80 points earlier in the season for instance).
Some people don't like McManus. Imagine another club's coach speaking out about our owner like that.

Wouldn't happen. Saints are a solidly run club. They pay their players.
Players talk. Coaches talk. Rugby League is a pretty small world. If you think McDermott's comments have come out of a clear blue sky then you're crackers. He knows what's going on at Salford. And if by bringing attention to it he sets right the few fans and journalists who are still seduced by Koukash then that's all to the good. Some, however, refuse to learn.

| Mc Dermott still has close ties with Darrell Griffin and Brian Noble so we can expect him to know a lot of what has and is going on at Salford in how things are run. There is too much "dirty washing" connected with Dr K these days with sacking coaches, court disputes with players, sponsors and council money claims.
He was a bit of a novelty when he first came on the scene, but he needs to have a reality check, come out of his bubble and stop all this "pie in the sky stuff" that comes out of his head.

| Maybe Brian Mac should have kept it to himself but HES 100% what he said about the clown koukash. I've said it since day one that he's a complete clown.
Yes he saved salford and has put money into salford which is great but it's not all about throwing big money names together, it's about putting a TEAM togeher and that's something Koukash can't grasp.
How many other owners go on Twitter to bag his club? None! It's all about him. He Doesnt care about grass roots or doing things proper he wants to throw money at plsyers and get quick fix.
I was in the minority when I said he was a clown but seems most people agree now. He's got no class about him. He's like a spoilt brat.
I'm fairly certain he will walk away from the salford in next 12 month.

| Salford would still have existed without the mad Dr. Much smaller and in the lower leagues, but still very much alive. The doc seems like he's going out of his way to show how not to run a club. Now claiming Harris isn't well when we all know he's got the boot. He needs to find a decent ceo who will actually pay the bills and players. Try making more big signings when you've got Tony P and Locke and their agents telling everyone to stay away

You have no idea whether Saints are a solidly run club or not. They appear to be because nobody ever says anything of any particular import but nobody outside the club knows actually what goes on at the club. The same applies to Salford or in fact any other club.
But aside from that it isn't McDermott's place to give public criticism of another club's owner. It's unprofessional and inappropriate and suggests McDermott thinks too highly of himself and his opinions.

Not true. You have short term memory issues. The previous owner was about to put the club into administration.
Quote The doc seems like he's going out of his way to show how not to run a club. '"
Koukash hasn't previously run a rugby league club so he isn't showing anyone anything. He's trying to learn how to run a rugby league club. I'm sure McManus made mistakes when he first took on Saints. McManus has been at Saints for donkey's years now and so knows what's what. Give Koukash another few years and he'll have it nailed. Now he has Tim Sheens there that will assist him.
Quote Now claiming Harris isn't well when we all know he's got the boot. '"
Nobody knows anything of the kind. That's just speculation. Harris may not be well or Harris may want to leave or Harris may well be on his way out. We have no idea what the situation is with Harris. We will learn what it is in due course.
Quote He needs to find a decent ceo who will actually pay the bills and players. '"
Two players dropped from the playing roster by the coach then go on to claim they haven't been paid. Hmm. I wonder what the actual situation is there.
Quote Try making more big signings when you've got Tony P and Locke and their agents telling everyone to stay away'"
Salford don't appear to be struggling to sign players.

Out of interest, how many forums have you been on today getting het up and writing 1000s of words spitting at Leeds and Brian McDermott. And being slowly and thoroughly told why and how you're wrong on each and every one of them by almost everybody. Does any of this have any impact?
I count here, Redvee, TotalRL and The Guardian. Any more?

And how does that mean they would cease to exist as a club? The current company may have gone into administration, and even possibly gone bankrupt entirely, but the club would still have survived.

Do you have any grasp of how companies work? You can go bust today and wind up the company then restart tomorrow with an extra dot or (uk) or (northwest) etc after your official name.
As I said, might not make it a super league or even championship club, but they would survive and rebuild.
A great example of this is effectively fc Wimbledon

Bradford, London and Wakey all been in administration and still going. My think Widnes did as well back in the day.

I'm getting a bit sick of McDermott spouting off; he'll probably deny to Rod Stud he ever said anything about Dr Cashcow.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good pointless argument.
Koukash's money is most welcome in the game , it's just a shame he isnt. The bloke is a plank and an embarrassment and McDermott is entitled to voice his opinion on the matter if he chooses to do so, it't not like he's playing politics to unsettle a rival , Salford are that far behind Leeds in pretty much every aspect of the game you'd need the Hubble telescope to see them.

| The Doctor is very alienated in the game with most of it self inflicated. I wonder if prior or during the purchase of the club he has actually visited the successful clubs to see how a professional club is run.
Most clubs are run with a degree of stability and transparency, the Doctor seems to be running things off the cuff and tripping himself up in the process, hopefully Sheens experience might rub off on the Doctor and gets the club on the right footing instead of him trying to justify his methods of running a club.
He needs to low profile himself to avoid further alienation, listen and learn, otherwise he might not last another 12 months

That depends on what you mean by 'go bust'. If you go into administration that means the administrator takes over. The administrator can sell assets (eg players) to meet running costs and debts, as was the case at Bradford during one of their periods in administration. However, for a company to come out of administration there needs to be a buyer and until Dr K came along there was no buyer for Salford. Thankfully he came along before the club was placed in administration so no assets had to be sold.
There have been plenty of clubs that have folded, ie they have gone into administration and then liquidated or just liquidated. Blackpool was the most recent one I know of. That club no longer exists.

Actually I think the opposite is true - he would have been better picking the club up through Administration as it would have given him the leverage to renegotiate certain key agreements, notably the stadium deal and the council loan.
But I would imagine that building from the Championship wouldn't have suited his thirst for publicity.

When they lost Chase to his long suspension and a couple of key players to injury during their Challenge cup game against Leigh they were on a winning streak and in fourth position in the table. Had they not lost that momentum through injuries and suspensions Salford may now have been in the top eight.
