A very encouraging spread of talent.

It is always good to see any good player come through but it is great the club can produce more than just second rowers.

It is a shame the RFL arranged this game to clash with the 5th round of the cup. I suspect some of these lads could have got games against lower league opposition this week (not just Saints)

That's not far off being the spine of a team.

I wouldn't get carried away; saints have produced many young players that have flattered to decive.

Every club has. It's not just us.

No one is getting carried away.

Every young lads success will be down to their attitude and their luck. However producing more quality players in important positions gives the club a better chance of finding the next stars of our team.

In the era of the salary cap our production line is one of the few things that separates us from the rest.

Not surprised they got beat having so many Wigan players in the team. How the likes of Jack Higginson got picked i will never no. Somethings got to be done about the selection process.

btw I think Higginson is a good young prospect who knew where his passport was. How many times have you seen him play?

I'll be honest, when we played them earlier in the season I thought he was comfortably Wigan's best player. It was the first time I'd seen him play.

I'm not sure how Ganson could possibly start ahead of Smith, and for Danny Richardson and Phil Atherton not have even made the squad is a joke.

To be fair, Lilley and Tyson-Wilson who played in the halves are two of the best prospects at that age.

Not sure about Lilley. I've read a lot about Tyson-Wilson but on my admitted limited viewing both for Hull and England he hasn't lived up to the hype, like all young players time will tell.

As the coach is from Yorkshire I find it hard to believe that there is any Wigan bias.

In previous years I think that this has been a two game series, does anyone know if there is to be a game over here, or am I getting mixed up with the U16's?

I assume that the picture above that match report is the French team. If the lad fourth from the right behind the ball is 18 then I'm 24.

They do have a reputation (rightly or wrongly) for including a few "ringers"

Looks like Goudemand and Fabien Jullien have signed for Warrington, along with three other French juniors.

They've already got a few there haven't they, the half back Louis Jouffret(?) gets decent reviews doesn't he?

Jouffret is now at Whitehaven.
