Meanwhile, their coaching staff have already started their preparations on how to deal with the human wrecking ball that is Mose Masoe by studying the 15 minute long compilation video of all his performances this season.

It's nice that we havn't got Superleague opposition for once, and with all due respect to York, we can rest a few players who are carrying knocks for this one, see how young lads go in their natural position perhaps? They may be in a lower league than us but a semi pro rugby player is still a fearsome sight for a 18/19 yr old to face

I would rest up Roby, Walmsley and Makinson for starters and bring in Mose as a Non Impact Prop to play 30mins each half.

Bailey to play full back and if Hewitt if available on the bench giving Walsh and Burns a 60 min spell each.

We play Catalans (Away) before and Hull (Away) after this cup game.

Yeah we always have it easy in the Cup...our first home draw since 2011, and 5 of our last 6 cup games have been away to Widnes, Wigan, Hull KR, Huddersfield & Leeds. Doesnt get much easier than that!!

He will want the ball in that game. He won't go missing at all in the York game. I bet he even takes a drive in our own 20m zone!

My first away trip was to Wigginton Road in 1972 for a cup tie. Hell of a journey pre M 62 but a great day out.

Why Makinson?

Arrogance, really? I was jesting, in which I poked fun at York's travelling support and one of our own players. Then I had the humility to wish him an enjoyable visit.

As a massive fan of both clubs this was literally my perfect draw! YCK have had an awful run off the field recently with the football club and city council badly letting them down. It would be great if as many Saints fans as possible could get down to this game to give them a much needed financial boost!

The York team is full of lots of youngsters some of which have huge potential. Should be in top 2/3 of the league by the time this game comes round. Watch out for a young centre Minikin who apparently will be moving to Wigan in 2016 having come through York academy.

Really looking forward to it though!!!!

Oh and play this game on a Sunday so those who work Fridays can come to the game! Should easily see 500+ York fans there that way too!

With Lomax, Lance, Wellens and Dawson out injured, just suggested Makinson because we can,t afford to lose a winger or full back at the moment. Its probably the right time to bring in Bailey, Fleming, Hewitt (if available).

yes its looks an easy tie for us but it is silly to say rest a few players we could end up with egg on the face,remember Doncaster in the the 94/95 season they beat us with a Saints full strength side at Knowsley Road.20- 29 in the league.
If i was a Knights fan after paying for my travel/ticket etc. etc. i would expect to see a full strength well near enough side in action.Leigh beat Salford, ok while Leigh never let Salford play they are 3rd in the table Leigh played out of their skins. Not knowing the capability of the reserves v Leeds i would still pick the strongest side every time.

Doncaster was all juiced up tho allegedly.
