Just been on the Wolves board and they are having some sort of fans based heritage night on Friday with fans being encouraged to wear retro shirts.

This is such a great idea I think, I'd love for us to do something like this.

Although I don't have many retro shirts (because I'm only 21 and most of my old shirts are junior sizes!) I'd love to wear them to games etc. Does anyone know where I could get hold of any? I have got to the stage of willing to wear my Dad's shirts but most have either been thrown and the only one he has is the '96 season shirt. It's great, but it looks like a bed-sheet on me!

I went to Wembley for the latics game and my latics supporting friend says that they sell a couple of different 'retro' shirts in the club shop. Why don't Saints do this too? I think I'd rather buy a retro shirt instead of shelling out for a brand-new shirt.

I remember them having that hooped shirt for the last year of Knowsley Road, but I wish we'd do it more! Unless they feel like it wouldn't be financially viable to make some...?

There have been a few fan based ones in the past and the odd testimonial kit - the joynty one was decent.

The george did a great heavyweight blue one - that sadly I shrunk right out of.

Good idea I remember when we had the most distinctive kit around in the seventies it was only a vee but it didn't half make us stand out. With all the talk about going back to the original crest it would be great to see the spirit of 72 launched and perhaps if the sponsors had issues with other kits on their deal, you could put Typhoo on the back?

Can't see Typhoo having any issue with such a shirt because they have the deal for the playing shirts and the training wear etc.

Any sort of obvious sponsorship on a retro shirt would completely ruin it IMO. I know this might possibly make such an idea unworkable...
