Perhaps a glimmer of hope for Gaskell to come back in at 6 in Lance's place if he moves to hooker.

4-6 weeks is no big deal and if anything he probably deserves the time off after we've flogged him over recent seasons.

Whoever comes in at hooker will reduce the quality of the side enormously, especially if it's Hohaia as his distribution is slow and laboured it will affect our go forward.

Are there no hookers in the academy? Why do the decent kids seem to come through in batches in the same positions?

Dom speakman is a hooker who is in the first team set up tour Aus with England u18 last season he might come in

Bad news, but not as bad as I feared. Hohaia to 9 and Turner to 6 is the way I think Brown will go.

Turner to 6???? Now I would be a bit concerned about that. It's one thing giving everyone a chance, it's another to move a settled centre into halfback, when you have a half waiting in the wings.

I'd rather speakman played Hooker than Turner play halfback.

I sincerely hope we do better than last season when he was out injured. Mind you, I can't see Brown getting sacked should we now go on a losing streak!

As i said in another thread, I'd start Gaskell at #6 and put Speakman on the bench to rotate with Lance at 9.
I'm inclined to agree though, that brown will move turner to 6 and bring Percival into the centres.

My comment was about Brown. You need to learn how to read for comprehension.

To be fair, we could do with a period without him to lace a couple more strings in our bow.
Also, with the way the likes of Walker, Walmsley and Percival have performed, I'd really like to see dom speakman. He's a half converted to a hooker, so should have some smarts and good service in him. Given that he's been on the england tour, he must be alright?

I agree. If we look over the Lump and see how Wigan fare each time Samkins is out injured we could do with learning the lesson now that we need to work out a Plan B, and at least this absence has happened at a time of the season when we can put things right.

I think that is starting to happen with Lomax. We no longer rely on Robes to create opportunities.

Has there been any update, only the last i heard was that he was having a scan on Tuesday (Yesterday) so is it still 10 weeks? if so will need to shift him from my fantasy team.
