I would prefer to drop Wheeler into halfback, rather than shuffle players about and put square pegs in round holes, play the players who can play the positions. If you are not going to play Wheeler at halfback with Lance and Wellens out then we may as well get rid as there is no point holding onto a player to just train each week.

Wheeler has been dual registered with Rochdale, along with Jordan Hand and two others, so I would imagine he will be playing for Rochdale at the weekend.

We have two halfbacks. They need time and coaching and confidence, along with some forwards who actually run forward.

No point making big changes we were much improved against Hull you would think we should beat Bradford. Maybe Makinson at Full back and Gardner on the wing assuming Wellens isn't fit.

I think Wheeler is at Rochdale for their game today, so could well be in the running next week.

Hopefully will come in for jones because he is a liability in defence

Funny that. If true that would be the second young player to suffer defensively as a result of playing alongside Meli.

I just cannot wait until that man leaves our club.

I have to agree with Saints fan on this one. Everyone who has played next to Meli has looked exposed in defense.

Lets face it Meli is all attack.

With out Talau that side has been exposed vastly more than numerous combinations on the other wing.

We don't half miss Willie Talau, good player he was.

Left in 2008 and still hasn't been replaced.

Might be able to see an interesting comparison of positional performance if Foster and Makinson are both playing Full back.

Foster only plays fullback as stand in, like Makinson. He's back on the wing at Bradford now. Didn't do a bad job at the weekend.

I get the feeling that Jamie Foster is going to enjoy racking the points up against us next weekend. I just hope he doesn't play all that well, I'm not sure I could take Foster lording it up after Bradford put 40 on us.

Foster only played on the wing against Cas because Michael Platt was injured. He is Bradford's first choice full back this year with Brett Kearney playing #6.

If Platt is fit for next next week, Foster will play #1, if not, he will play on the wing.

Platt is out for 12 week.......If we have no injuries from the Cas game I would presume Kearney at 1 Foster on the wing.

Tbh Kearney will do more damage at FB than Foster :/ Should be an interesting game
