Should say it's mainly about Maguire but interesting hearing him talk about building his attack structure around his full backs.

Maguire seems to like taking the teams most potent attacking threat and placing him at Full Back.

It worked well for us when Darren Albert played for us. I thought he played some of his best rugby for us at FB.

Shows how the modern game has developed.

But the vast majority of the posters on here and redvee would happily camp in the 1990s with their 'safe' fullback who doesn't drop the ball much, whilst other teams plough on merrily winning trophies with their best attacking player at fullback.

I dont post much on here these days but still read and you have become more obsessed with Wellens than Tomkins you really need to give it a rest we all get it you dont want him playing

In the 1990s we had steve prescott, who i reckon is much more the full back you're advocating.

Me too - I'm not sure that many disagree but the only people that matter i.e the coaching team seem to want to stick with him. The positive thing is we seem to have many attacking fullback options for next year, Ashe,Makinson,Lance,Swift ....

One of the things which stodd out in the recent Origin game earlier this was the number of players who Queensland picked in the backs who mainly operate at full back. (Boyd and Inglis)

The majority of the Queensland players selected in the backs could easily cover two or more positions if required.
