| Excellent figures but I hope we don't start banging on about attendances and boring everyone like Wigan fans do regarding crowds.

| It's a decent start, but by golly they need to get the cladding done. Hopefully that will improve the atmosphere because at the moment, bar the Leeds game, it's been a soulless pit.
We need to start marketing the lesser games in order to keep the crowds up.

| It'll also be very interesting to see the gate for the Oldham game. At Knowsley Road it would have been around the 4,500 mark. This is where I think we might come a cropper, I genuinely can't see more than a couple of thousand turning up, which is desperately sad for Oldham. They would think of a tie like that being a money spinner and a chance to play in front of a big crowd, but it's won't be.

Challenge Cup games are always poor for all clubs, I would be pleasantly surprised if we get over 5500 for such poor opposition

| How to turn a good news story into a negative!
Attendance figures are really encouraging and I hope this is reflected in growing revenues at Saints.

That's what saddened is good at. However I have to agree with him.

| This is really good news, however, we have had possibly our 2 top attended matches of the (regular) season in Wigan and Leeds at home - I assume this, I'm sure someone could check. The other really big attendance will be Wire, which isd still to come, so hopefully the average wont flatten out too much, especially as we've also had poss the poorest attended match (in terms of away fans) i.e. Catalan already.
Well done Saints, a great result.

| Also if we continue to pick up points and SL places on the table then as we move towards the end of the season more and more people will be attracted by a more positive finish. Cas always bring a fair few as do Hull KR.. We should hope to sell out the wire game monday night or not. Bradford so so. then Wakey London Huddersfield.
So a few games with poorer away followings but given huddersfields position it should draw in more saints punters at least. Saints canuse this season to learn which games are the poorer draws for saints fans. Then double those teams up with the wigan and wire game next year. So those with tickets for say the LOndon match get so many days grace to get a ticket for the wigan match before they go on general sale to everyone else. That way you draw people in without lowering prices for either game.

| A good average figure for Saints.
As for Wigan they haven't given "freebies" for years. They do discount for certain matches but not this season yet.
The revenue will be up, it has to be from these crowds but that is only half the money tale. McManus said some time ago that the function rooms were fully booked for a number of months. That's where you'll make your money, having the stadium working 6-7 days a week.
We have six clubs according to those figures who are averaging over 10k.
What we need are six clubs and more who are not losing money.
Then we'll all be better off.
Good average though, well done!

| I've been following the figures and paid special attention to the langtree park ones which I think are outstanding. Even in the traditionally less
attended games I think you've done brilliantly. I'm slightly disappointed with wires although they have increased year on year and we have
all our big games bar the saints one remaining at home so lets hope. Well done anyhow.

| Not really into crowd counting. But I suppose for Saints it will be a bit of a phase this year. I think everyone is slowly understanding that whilst money men are great. It's living on the whim of others. Without attendances clubs have no long term future. I'm not overly bothered about comparable attendances so long as we are pulling our own weight.

Think it was just under 5800 so not a bad guesstimate.
Also good to see us pulling in that crowd against a team of part timers, when just down the road at the HJ, the tie of the round between 2 super league clubs pulled in just 5500. Credit to Catalans too, they drew in the biggest crowd of the round with 7000 against Sheffield.

'"
The main reason for the Catalan crowd is that they don't have as many season ticket holders so fans are quite used to a "pay on the day" mentality whereas here we seem to have fallen into the I've paid for my season ticket and I don't want to pay for many more home games.
