Depends if the existing overseas players are really of the status we think, whether the overseas signing counts and whether those we already have stay or not.

I think TP must be a doubt as it's the last year of his deal next season and he currently has a serious injury. If that injury is an operation and 6 months rehab, they may decide it's not worth it.

But great news on Sia. Good to have him for another 3 years, he's a big part of the family.

I'd rather keep Sia and then see what comes along. He has been fantastic for us and I am made up he has signed for a further 3 years.

i'm pleased that we have signed up him on a decent length contract, with all the recent trouble he's had it'll be good that he has settled his future and now can concentrate on what he does best.

I guess because someone at the club told him we're announcing the signing of an overseas player soon. With Sia's singing we're not at the quota limits, which means the information he's been told is wrong OR someone on the quota currently is leaving.

It would have to be a case of someone leaving as we have 5 on the nonfed trained list in Sia,TP,Lance,Perry and Laffranchi.Unless as mentioned above they are exempt.

Considering Brown has put Gilly at prop at a push, I imagine he'll be bumping Sia up to the front row at some point. He's more than powerful enough.

It's sometimes hard to believe that Sia is only 25 and his best years are ahead of him. He's still a youngster in forward terms.

Mixed feelings. I like Soliola. He's a genuine physical presence. Athletic. Good skills. And he's played pretty well since he overcame injury. But I've always felt there's that something missing from his game. He just doesn't impress himself on the opposition enough for me.

If we got him at a good price fine. I can go with that. But if we're paying up around the top bracket I really think our money could be invested more wisely. I mean, Soliola or a good Aussie/Kiwi scrum half? I'd weaken the pack for that.
