Assuming the disciplinary panel don't have an emergency meeting this weekend, Lance at 7 - with either Gaskell or (if he's fit) Wheeler at 6.

Lomax is out of Monday as is wilkin.

It will be Gaskell and lance in the halves.

It's long shot at Gaskell he been dropped by rush

Lance showed today that he will struggle on his own, he isn't direct enough. Gaskell will be back in contention if Lonax is missing next week.

We don't have a scrum half. We don't have a reserve scrum half (I'm talking about a genuine scrum half - experienced or academy, not some utility player).

Lee Gaskell is a scrum half. Or that is where he was playing prior to becoming one half of Lomaskell last season anyway.

There's a difference between a player occasionally feeding the scrum and being a genuine scrum half. If Gaskell were such it would be him and not Lomax occupying the spot.

Gaskell hasnt and never will be a scrum half. What a ridiculous comment. Dont really care how team is listed he plays, and is a stand off. We dont have a senior scrum half at the club. Lomax is learning the role & is developing fantastically well.

You see the 'or'? That links the first sentence with the second. In other words, he played scrum half prior to being in the first team so perhaps he is one. At no time was I saying that he IS a scrum half because I don't know whether he is. He hasn't been played there in the first team and I didn't see him play in the u20s before he made his first team debut.

This is the usual pedantic arguement when everyone has a go at anything saints fan says. In any other forum it would be bullying.

That is not to say I agree with everything she writes; far from it. But on this occasion, surely all she was saying that prior to becoming SO in the first team he used to play SH in the acadmy and youth structures.

Gaskell did play mainly at scrum half in the under 20's.

He also played some games at fullback and also stand off.

Lomax was used as hooker, standoff and fullback.

Wheeler played mainly standoff but occasionally scrum half.

How many of those games were they [ilisted[/i at scrum half as opposed to assuming the full spectrum of a scrum half's responsibilities?

Hes a halfback,the modern day halfback can usually play 6 or 7
