Reading todays daily star and it's reporting Royce Simmons is having treatment for skin cancer.

Sorry of this has already been posted but it's the first I've heard of it.

they interviewed him the other night on granada reports and they said that he had been having treatment for a skin condition. but didnt specify what it was

Strange if it's true as I've not heard anything at all.

If its true I wish him all the best with his treatment and hope he makes a speedy recovery.

It's only very very small caption at the bottom of the story about watts who's at Widnes.

I've just had two txt back saying he's having treatment for skin condition but not said its cancer.

Just hope it's been reported wrong and he's not.

I hadn't been told anything about cancer and it certainly doesn't look like cancer. Looks more like an infection.

Probably the Daily Star getting the wrong end of the stick.

I saw Royce at the Oldham friendly and he had some red stuff all over his face. Hope it's not true if it is i wish him a speedy recovery.

I really hope it isn't true. I know only too well from recent experience of a close family member what a horrible thing it is, and sadly how it can come back when you think it's clear.

Unless the story claims he's romantically involved with a post-op transsexual sadomasochist cage-fighter who does party tricks with a gila monster it can't be a true piece of Daily Star "journalism".

His face didn't look good in the granada reports video so I hope everything goes OK and he makes a full recovery.

We were speaking to him recently and he made a passing comment on it and said it was cancer which he is having treatment for.

He really didn't seem worried about it to be honest.

Sometimes the prognosis isn't that bad. The doctors are pretty good these days so there are some (lucky) cases that they can clear up asap.

Hope so. When we saw him at the end of January it didn't look too bad (just looked back at the pics) but on the Full Time show last night he looked terrible and the redness had spread more.

Blimey, kind of puts things into perspective. Hope he gets better soon. Presumably (As he seems to be carrying on as normal) it's one of the skin cancers that doesn't spread to other parts of the body so can be treated. I think the treatments are radiotherapy, surgical removal or heating and scraping though, so sounds like he's in for a tough spell.

I watched superleague full time on sky last night and both myself and my son noticed how red and blothcy his face was,hope its not to severe and can be treated.

I read the same article, with a small bit at the bottom saying he was being treated for skin cancer. it didnt elaborate further and I couldnt find anything on google.
