| Just got back from the Friday opening, mighty impressed with the layout, viewing perspective, my seat postion etc. Obviously a few defects to sort out before the superleague kicks off, noticed the 2 bottom rows in the South Stand are going to get wet.
But generally can,t wait for the stadium to have 15 000+ fans in a great atmosphere............Proud to be a Saints Fan.
Do you think we should cover the ground with pictures of past legends like the Vollenhoven one in the South Stand.

| Agree you don't realize how good it is until your actually in there.Brilliant viewpoints from all around the ground-love our spec at the back of the North stand.Regarding the front row seats getting wet,I think most stadiums even the big football venues suffer from this so it's not unique.Never seen a pitch as good as that-it looks like a carpet!
Quick comment on the stewarding,on the whole helpful and polite and had a good laugh with the ones in the East stand. There was one woman steward though at the pitch side in North stand D who obviously had a sense of humor bypass after admonishing a fella who'd crouched down to touch the astro turf on the perimeter of the pitch then I heard her again a bit later moaning to a colleague "Well they won't be able to bring cameras in on match days" - deary me.
On the worries over parking. We parked on the old Tesco and it was just a 10 minute walk over the bridge to the ground from there so it was perfectly fine.

| It certainly is a very good stadium.
Even the much talked about unclad rears of the North, West and East stands didnt stop the concourses from being on the whole well protected.
Once the cladding is on then should be pretty much dry all over. The high walls also kept the concourses sheltered from the wind.
The North stand concourse is absolutely huge, and the bar areas are all of a decent size as well.
Loved the pictures, with player profiles of Vollenhoven, Coslett and Ward in the South stand concourses.
Hope that by kickoff all the other stands get "the legends" touch.
Nice to see Saints getting these pics sponsored as well.
I think opposition fans will be very very jealous of our stadium when they turn up this coming season.
Parking was an absolute doddle, and the stroll to the ground is quite a pleasant experience.
The Bridge certainly has the WOW factor as well. Just wish the colour combos didnt go a shade of cherry red.

| Did everybody check the back of there jackets, quite a lot of seats covered in dust.
Most supporters I spoke to were very proud of the "new home" and can,t wait for the Widnes game.
Like people above have said, parking a doddle in town, they leave the barriers up on the old Tesco car park after 7-00pm, think that might change in they might charge you are quid when you go in.
Langtree Park will be fantastic when a big derby match comes around, packed stadium full of sponsors advertising, music and the buzz from rugby league fans.

| Cant wait for the first game. Didnt attend last night due to work commitments, however ive had a tour of the stadium and it really is a joy to behold. Had to settle for a walk by on my way to work last night and even the walk up is stunning. The bridge is fantastic and adds to the experience. Cant wait to take my seat for the first game. Well done to everyone who helped make this happen.

I agree, the leg room is possibly the biggest I've experienced. I paid top price seats at old Trafford for the grand final to sit on the excutive seats and the ones at langtree park are much better.
I'm glad I'm not sat in the first three rows of the south stand (good advice CM) as they was totally soaked. The north west corner of the terracing was also very wet so avoid that if your standing.

| Water on the front row should not be an issue most of the time as it will depend on wind direction and the last few days we had as much wind as you can possibly get.
Glad to see you got your tickets in the end pete.
Old trafford is one of the worst for seating I'm six foot ttwo and basically unless your about 5'6 you are going to have sore knees come kick off.

| Was awesome. Only place I saw that was affected by the rain was in the very corner of the west stand. Other than that totally comfortable.
Going to be incredible when it's full and we're all chanting away.
Not sure where we are going to put all the flags though and is it me or does the space under the scoreboard look a little too small for the big screen???

No I didn't get my tickets. They might be in the club shop but didn't have time to get to the shop before 4pm as I was busy at work.
I had a mate pull a few strings to get me in which was great of him abd I owe him big time now. I also had look at the changing rooms and one of the sponsors boxes which was very impressive.
I didn't get to sit in my seat as I couldn't remember what row or seat I was in but did sit in the south stand and the leg room is very good.

As Pete said, it was an open training session but the idea behind it was as a ramp up event towards the health and safety certificate. It was an event prompted by the Council rather than Saints. Presumably the Council wanted to test out their very flashy bridge prior to our first game against Widnes when I would imagine a lot more fans will be crossing it!

| Stayed in my local patch in the south stand on Friday. Anybody know if it's possible to walk all around the inner stadium Under the stands. I should imagine the central south stand is out of bounds at some point, but I,m not sure.

Is it not going to be mounted on the two white supports, rather than inbetween them?

Yes, you could walk right around the stadium using the concourse. I didn't know this on Friday night so did as you did but my Dad explored all the way around. I was really annoyed with myself that I didn't just go for it and see if I got told off!

| Great stadium , nice to have real toilets (even if the hand dryers are the worlds weakest ) .
Are we putting more cladding in ? it looked like some people might get a bit damp if we dont.

The stadium design means fans have to be able to move between certain parts of the ground.
For example there are no turnstiles in the West stand, instead there is a joint turnstile block for the South stand and the West stand. There is therefore no way of separating fans out. At the very least therefore fans in the South and West stands will be able to mingle.
I suspect in certain games when clubs with fans who have a more negative reputation turn up there will be limitations placed on people moving from the East (away) terrace, however in general i suspect it will be pretty much open season.
If you look at the stadium design, the concourses are way above legal specification in terms of design capacity. This is particularly the case with the North stand. So to me that indicates that the club have taken into account the likelyhood of fans wanting to meet up at half time for a chat.
For example the North stand concourse size to meet legal requirements concerning capacity should be 1169 metres squared, yet actually is 1641 square metres in area. The West concourse legal requirement is for an area of 973 metres squared , yet actually has 1334 metres squared.
The rules on new stadiums is that they should accommodate in their concourses no more than 20 people for every 10 square metres of room, with the concourses total capacity being 50% of the stands actual capacity at a minimum.
Hence for the west Terrace it should be able to hold 1946 people, which would be what you would expect from a stand designed to accommodate 3800 people
The West stand concourse has been designed to hold 2668 people which is more in line with a stand capable of holding 5200 people.
Similarly the North stand needed to have a concourse capable of holding 2338 people as thats around half of the total stands capacity in seats, however it actually has a capacity of 3282. Which is more in line with a stand holding around 6400 people.

| So according to those concourse surface areas this means the stadium could possibly have the stands cantilevered out to provide a stadium capacity of around 24000 if needed in years to come.
