given the schizophrenic nature of refereeing in the play offs so far, you never know what is going to happen with any given ref.

Wonder if he will watch out for forward passes, obstructions and head high tackles from both sides and keep it fair this week, or if he will be keeping Wigan in the game once again??

Wigan fans would say the same about Bentham. Neither is true though, IMO of course.

Right on cue over on C&W:

The bias Smith shows against Saints is clear. It has been proven time and time again. He will give ANY 50:50 to the other side and will happily contradict a decision he made the previous week to deny Saints a try or award one for the opposition. I've had a few rants about him on here.

i know the other refs can be inconsistent at best from one week to the next, but halibut really does take the biscuit

Referee's have been a joke this year. Last few times I've seen Bentham he's been dire. Practically handed Wigan the Challenge Cup. Ganson is the only decent one in Super League, but he's had a shocker his last two games as well. Lets just hope we're talking about the Rugby League played rather than the referee after the game.
