The play-offs is suppose to be the high intense entertaining games that super league crave to happen each week but this years has been the worst play-off series since they started. To many one sided games and teams and players looking sluggish and tired.

Why have the play-offs turned out so poor?

Might have something to do with the unnecessary games such as the England v Exiles games and teams havin to back up, and the millennium magic.

The competition as a whole is very underwhelming this season. Too many boring, one sided games and dull matches throughout. Clubcall is a pathetic gimmick too. I don't know why we don't play each team once at home and once away. Then, come the play offs it's 1 v 8, 2 v 7 etc. I cannot understand the RFL's pathological need to mess everything about. Ruining the game if you ask me.

Still, I look forward to the 13th meeting between Saints and Wigan this season.

Is the due to salary cap not working as it should? The have been some massive scores this season which has carried on into the play off series.

The was few coaches few weeks back claiming we have to many teams in super league without enough quality players to go around.

But does the play off series suffer due to players playing to many games? We have the extra fixture at MM, the England v exiles, the challenge cup and also the world club challenge for one side.

I'm not sure what the problem is but this year the big end of the season play offs of high intense rugby has not been there and IMO has been disappointing.

I used to laugh at how many times Glasgow Celtic and Rangers played each other a season, now they can laugh at us

Four times should the the maximum possible SL x2, CC and Playoffs

The challenge cup is played to near the play offs and it does effect teams taking part in both as history shows.

The amount of games we play over the season it's no wonder England can't compete with the kiwis and Aussies in the four nations or world cup.

The RFL are pathological meddlers because they lack the skill, insight and desire to *strategically* set about improving the sport. Therefore, with no useful long term plans, and to make themselves look like their jobs have any point whatso-effing-ever, they have to just meddle.

That fat useless windbag in charge couldn't run a Christmas Club (even a Farepak one).

I don't know what fans can do to turf out the clowns 'running' the game, but expect more of the same 'innovations' followed by lots of self-congratulatory windbags pointing out how 'innovative' the RFL are.

When I watch players, (of whom very very few will ever make enough money not to need another career) give it 100% week-in, week-out and I watch fans break to bank to take their family to watch it, I can't stand to see that fat overpaid moron talking utter bilge about how to run a sport.

No doubt they claim the farcical play-off attendances are someone else's fault - why not turn on the fans themselves? - after all, the clowns in charge are on 6 figure salaries, so it couldn't possibly be anything to do with their incompetence, could it?

Sometimes sport fails to produce spectacle. Remember how poor the 2010 world cup was?

The rugby league world cup is always going to fail to produce as we only have England, kiwis and Aussies in a big tournament.

It's a pointless tournament. We should be playing tri nations series as GB an have the home nations and other smaller teams as development comps

Exactly , a hard fought tri nations would appeal to me and I imagine many others, I'd also like an ashes series thrown in , a proper one with a tour behind it. I'd love to see Saints play a touring side at our new stadium

I think the will be a lot of test games, exiles games, semi finals being played at OUR new stadium which will help the revenue arcthe stadium and with luck will take the games and money away from the DW football stadium that Wigan rent.

I think the NRL play-offs have had only one blowout this year - ironically the Warriors getting smashed.

Some of these results just add fuel to the view that at any one time in SL there are no more than 3/4 genuinely competitive teams. Oddly this year, had we just had play-offs involving the top 4, one of those sides (Huddersfield) wre way behind the top 3.
