| Great advert for the game.
Disappointed to lose, but walked away with my head held high knowing the Saints fans gave 100% from the terraces. Great support by us all tonight.
We were unlucky with a lot of decisions from the officials tonight, but we have got to accept that sometimes you don't get the rub of the green, so lets just accept it and take defeat with grace. Fair play to Wire, they are a formidable force at present and are certainly on roll.
Finally well done to our lads on the pitch, to come back into the game after going 18 down was sensational, the Saints lads put the effort in and as a fan it was very much appreciated.
Rugby League take a bow.

| You Saints fans were tremendous last night, especially during the Paul Darbyshire tribute. It really is appreciated by us Wire fans.

Why have Rugby League now taken to doing a minute of applause? I can understand in football because of the mindless idiots and I can also understand the cup final or grand final because of the amount of alcohol swilling around, but for a normal league game a minutes silence would have been more appropriate and I am sure would have been observed impeccably.

| Saints fans were brilliant, apart from the nobs at the back throwing ale all game, what a waste of money.

A minutes applause is good in 2 ways
a) eliminates the idiot element.
b) shows an appreciation of a man in a way that a silent sombre minutes silence doesn't.
I agree though if it had been a minutes silence it would have been done impeccably.

I agree, personally I always prefer the minutes silence.
However, if you read the Leeds board it seems that some idiots spoiled / disrespected it last night prior to the Bradford game.

You may well find that a minutes applause was requested by Paul's family. From the moment the PA Announcer started speaking there was silence from the crowd, followed by sustained applause when the referee blew the whistle. There was no shouting, no chanting, just sustained applause. Tremendous behaviour by both sets of fans.

That's fair enough if requested by the family. I suppose, on reflection, a minutes applause is the safe option particularly if what RG says happened at Bradford last night is correct.

| I don't think the applause is to silence any idiots. A Minutes applause can also be seen as celebrating the life of a special person which Paul was.

True , and if requested fair enough. But the minutes applause was introduced due to fooball fans not being able to handle the silence.I just hope it's not a reflection of where we are going with fans too.

I agree. You'd have got the 50 point treatment if Silverwood didn't help you.

Give over, if we hadn't have been over generous with the head start we gave you, we'd have won.
