Really? Sure it wasn't a zero tackle?
I see Royce's comments are now up on the official website. We have only received 3 penalties for offside this season, which given how quickly Roby works from dummy half is frankly shocking.
Royce also says he will be having a word or two with Cummings about the refereeing.

I thought the ref let to much messing about at the play the ball go today. To many messing trying to rip the ball out.
He got the lynch pen call spot on IMO.

Saints won the penalty count and got the right call to sneak a draw. Curious that Gaskell kicked the ball 42 out, it bounced on the 40 and bobbled, but the penalty kick was taken from the 30 metre line. Not where the offence occured or the ball first bounced.
Wilkin got away with a bad one on Herbert. Roby also got away with a bit of a naughty one.

Maybe because that's not the rule when it's grubbered through like that? The kick is taken from where the ball finishes or is first made contact with by a player. |

Of course the Foster kick would have been irrelevant if Ian 'the most biased anti Saints ref in the world' Smith would have made the correct call and given the Eastmond try. |
