3 highly enjoyable games (and wins) on the bounce - ball going out wide and wingers scoring, unpredicabilty creeping into our attack, switching off in the last 15 and letting them score a couple? Its a bit more like saints of old, isn't it?

That's the point though, we're a far from perfect team and I'm not sure its showing enough to take home any trophies this year, but the last couple of weeks have reminded me of when I first started watching Saints.

Conceding those two tries was stupid and shows a poor attitude IMO. Likewise dropping the ball over the line twice at the start. In fact, we made a lot of mistakes last night and IMO the fact that HKR were missing their halfback helped us considerably as they couldn't organise an attack. It's still early days for this team and I am extremely glad we have got three wins under our belts. But personally I prefer the excitement of tightly contested games rather than contests which exist because we are playing dumb.

I do agree that the expectations of fans has lowered though. We are now celebrating home wins as if they were a real achievement, rather than a given. That helps to fuel some atmosphere anyway.

Particularly last week against Bradford, we were really entertaining. Last season I would have only gone to a match at home against Hull KR because of being a season ticket holder. Last night, I was genuinely excited before the match. It's not the greatest rugby technically, but it's definitely more entertaining.

I wouldnt disagree with that. Ive lost count the amount of times Ive heard "its great to see some rugby again" over the last couple of weeks.
As you say plenty to work on as well which is encouraging.

I've been well entertained for the last few weeks, this is all i ask from the team. I dont expect to win everything, but open, flowing rugby is a joy to watch

Be glad you aren't in my seat (that I have for 5 years, god help me) the fella next to me insists we will score every single set by trundling it to the posts on every tackle of every set! He wants boring, safe rugby at all times! And it is doing my head in!

We could be moving into a more entertaining period judging by the step up in willingness to throw the ball around. Against Bradford it was wild, throwing balls out on the 20 a few times but last night was more refined and classy.

Our defense isn't good enough at the moment though for us to win a big game against the likes of Wigan, Wire and probably Huddersfield.

I think we are now slight underdogs when playing the likes of hudds, wolves and the pies because I think we miss some cutting edge in attack and defence still not up to scrath but as proven on our day we can beat anyone but also wouldn't shock me if any team beat us.

I think if perry, LMS, Sia can get a good run of games and we don't pick up to many injuries, our pack will lay the platform for our backs which IMO will be a whole lot better when Pryce gets fit.

Lomax and gaskell have done great job and to be honest it's shocked me just how well they have done. We still not getting the ball to Shenton who can be great attacking asset as he's fast and got great footwork.

All in all I've been very impressed how we've turned it around from the Quins game but I'm not getting carried away just yet as I still think pleanty of work still needed and 3 good players are also needed until we get back to our old self.

I think a lot of credit is due to the squad, coaching staff, Mick potter for keeping us competitive while in this rebuilding phase, not like a certain local team that was sitting near the bottom of super league and failing to make the play offs.

But the entertaining bit was probably done on the previous tackle to get us in this scoring position.

Wigoon stats are showing one of the worst attacks so far this season, bottom of the league for metres gained, try,s scored, tackle busts, carries, off loads etc.
Very good at gang tackling in a kind of entertaining way though.

I'm over the moon we didn't sign jeff Lima. He looks rubbish at the moment. He looks soft as $hit.

Finch has only just started playing after something like an 18 month layoff, so he isn't exactly going to be a world beater for a few weeks yet. I think we probably need to wait and see what kind of impact Finch has. Much like we still have to wait a while for Perry to really get going. After the first two matches Perry said that his ankle was still hurting. It will take a while for any long term injured player to get fully match fit.

Not necessarily. He signed 1 one year deal with an option for a second.

You know, I'm sure there were some posters who implied last year they'd give up a few league points a season if we got a more entertaining brand of rugby week in, week out.
