Is anyone actually going to any of the events this weekend?

All 3 events seem a bit overpriced for what you actually get out of it, and the continued marketing and promotion of the events from the club seems to suggest that it remains un-soldout.

I think it must be the cost that is putting people off.

I know its the end of an era and Saints are trying their best to cash in, as you would expect.....but in the current climate, its probably a bit too much all in one go, especially when people have just shelled out for GF tickets.

My wife was planning to take my daughter to the day thing, but plans may well have changed.

So many prestige events such as the Dinner are for those who have little interest in rugby league and being loyal to the game, it just wrongly comes down to £££££

Well, I received an email today to say that the Friday night is sold out, the Saturday night has limited tickets available and the Sunday family day is pay on the day. So perhaps the cost isn't putting people off at all!

What exactly does your £25 for a family ticket get you on the Sunday? The club site is a bit wishy washy.

I've probably only seen as much as you, but it's supposed to be funfair rides, face painting, children's acts, bouncy castle, that type of thing along with food provided and drinks sold. I'm hoping to go along with a friend and her children as I'd like to go see the place one last time but I can't afford either of the other two events. So I will go and get my face painted instead!

Yeah, that's what I've read. But is it £25 to get in the ground and the face painting, etc free? £25 to get in the ground but face painting, etc to be paid for?

So far as I can gather it's just drinks that you have to buy on top of the entrance fee (which is £25 for a family or £10 per adult, £5 per child - I don't know what consitutes a family exactly!).

What I don't understand is the lack of starting times on the promotional bumf

Do they expect people to just turn up when they feel like it?

Of course it comes down to £££, but that doesn't mean there won't be genuine fans there.

I bought two tickets for the black tie "Greatest 17" dinner this Friday for my dad and he can't wait. I got an email yesterday saying that particular evening had sold out, so at £99 a pop for tickets it's a nice little earner for the club and a great opportunity to spend the evening in the company of the best players to grace KR.

The family fun day thingy looks pretty good actually. I want a go on the bunji trampolines!

The black tie dinner looks like being a big money maker.

600 people at £99 each is £59400.

Now obviously you have to knock off the cost of marquee, gorden burns, food etc when looking at profit, but wouldnt surprise me if this event along cleared £20k+ profit.

Does anyone know how to pre-order the DVD?

I tried to do it on line as invited but it just says "Sorry, item is either out of stock or an insufficient level to fulfil your requirements" instead of "thank you for your pre-order"

or the like.
Getting kind of sick with my on line experience with the shop it is so amateurish.

You may be confusing 'sold out' with checking up that previously arranged people are actually going to be there.

And besides, are you saying that Saints are lying on their ads being sent by email? Isn't that in breach of the trade descriptions act or something?

What a cracking do the dinner was. I had a great time and actually good value for the money I thought. Well done saints!!
