| Tempted to say he needs to cut out the penalties, but he's an aggressive player who doesn't shy away from the biff and that is something we've missed in our pack for a while IMO.

| Although LMS has much better stats, with 2 less appearances that Hargreaves, doesn't LMS play for long spells of the game at Harlequins? Were Hargreaves only plays 20 minutes each half, very rare he does anymore than that.

| The stats aren't a good vehicle to compare the two IMO.
LMS' stats were acquired whilst playing for a basement dwelling team with huge internal issues as there is likely to be no club there next season and the players have known about it. Plus he's been playing under an absolute idiot of a coach.
Hargreaves was playing for a team running 2nd in SL currently.

| I would be tempted not to concentrate on the yardage stats, as LMS has been playing for the bottom team whereas Bryn a team toward the top.
What catches my eye is the much higher number of busts and offloads, which would imply Louie's (Louis's) much harder for a defence to handle.

I don't think there's any doubt about that whatsoever, he's a good carrier of the ball - much stronger than Bryn with a decent offload.

The thing is, I don't feel like I've seen much of him at all over the years, so I don't have much of a 1st hand opion of him.

| IMO LMS is much better than bryn. Bryn is just a squad player who never let's saints down.
LMS is more action than bryn, he's also bigger, faster and much more aggresive.
It's good to see saints have brought in a player which is better than the player that left.

| Like others have said, one in a top team one in a bottomish team with a baffoon in charge, and massive turmoil, and still somehow LMS is better it's a freaking no brainer!

| You've got a good player there to join to other quality signings. Will be interesting to see how both LMS and Shenton develop at saints as they both have a lot of potential.

| Wish all the best to Bryn hargreaves for the future, he has been an unsung Hero at times, always puts in 100%. Like someone has already mentioned, he has never let Saints down.
LMs is more of a dynamic player and should give us that extra momentum that we have lacked with Maurie missing half the season.

Thats very strange?
So you make more metres, do more off loads, more busts because you play for a crap team? How does that work then?
I can understand the defensive stats being related to being in a team under the cosh but not the offensive stats.
He is miles better than bryn. As you well know dire were desperate to get LMS. Great signing for us.

| At the start of the season Hargreaves turned in some decent performances and a number of people thought he'd finally matured as a player.
Viewing the season as a whole the reality is that he was just another dog having his day in the sun.
To say he has been ineffective during his Saints career would be an understatement. I'd place him down with the group of other impersonators including Ricky Cowan, Phil Adamson and Mark Bourneville.

G'day, =#FF0000Agreed, but they both played against the same opposition to get those stats. =#40FF80Don't agree with this at all.
Good luck next weekend,
Billy.
